I wonder what the significance was.

Not sure if these have been mentioned yet.

I don't know, but it seemed to have struck a Teutonic chord.

One interpretation of the phrase is pretty much 'An eye for an eye'. I can get behind that interpretation. My take on the phrase though is that everyone is free to follow his own path.

Another interpretation -

Unlike other Nazi concentration camps which had "Arbeit Macht Frei" (Work makes Freedom) over the entrance gate, the sign over the Buchenwald gate reads "Jedem Das Seine" which means "To Each His Own" or "Everyone gets what he Deserves."

http://www.scrapbookpages.com/Buchen...waldToday.html

That sounds to me like the Nazis were trying to deflect responsibility for the camps to fate.

I think you're doing to wrong. Even if your post covers "several inches of target at 100 yards" your group has nothing to do with the size of the post, unless you can't put the massive post in the same spot for each shot.

Same here. If you use the word shottie, I mark you as a newb/wannabe and move on to a new conversation. Same goes for "loadout" for the stuff you carry in your pockets and man purse and "run" for the equipment/firearm you use.

"The purpose of a pistol is to fight your way to your rifle."

I wonder how well that ^^^ would work in practice for a Sheepdog who managed to get out of a Mall that has a murderous POS in it shooting people to get their rifle out of the trunk and be the first non cop with a rifle that the SWAT team sees when responding.

As for sheepdogs they are property just like the sheep they guard. Sheepdogs don't guard sheep for the benefit of the sheep. Sheepdogs guard sheep so that wolves or other predators don't kill them and cut into their master's profits. Sheepdogs don't mind at all when the master shears the sheep and kills or butchers the sheep to provide food. They will lick the blood off the floor and join in eating the sheep if offered.

Bullsheep.

It's about precision. AR15 front posts are not precise enough to do 1" groups at 100 yards. Period.

Feel free to come visit, bring your favorite standard sighted, standard barreled AR. If you can do a 5 shot 1" group at 100 yards, dinner is on me.

Bren is correct.
It's not the sights that change the size of the group, it's either the ammo, the barrel, or the shooter.
That 1 minute of angle group might be several inches away from point of aim, but it will be consistent if you do your part.

Ha, got a cliché in.

I'm not a precision shooter at all - not even in my internet fantasy! - but an AR is pretty damn steady, and 100yds is NOT that far of a rifle shot. And a 1"x1" square is pretty healthy size. I know I could get shots at that range that the holes were touching each other. And, again, I'm NOT a good shot!

If you think it's that hard, you're doing something wrong.
