well i hate when i hear people defend ultra short stocks by saying "well try running it in thick body armor and see what you think."

Um, don't wear body armor to the range....or ever.

Shooters are bad, so called journalists are the worst. If I never hear the expression "packing heat" again it will be fine with me.

Jargon doesn't bother me (and technically isn't a cliche') every group has their well worn jargon.

I don't care for the derogatory clichés that are from the outside looking in on gun culture. From the low brow "Must be compensating for something" to a patent lack of experience and understanding about the nature of force and reality such as "a real man doesn't need a gun to fight..."

I hate edc threads where people claim to carry way more than they realistically do.

"I carry a g17 4 spare mags 3 flasligts 2 kinves a j frame and a trauma kit daily"

yeah right

I will fess up to using this one somewhat regularly. However, in my own defense, I picked up the habit from a friend who was in the British military. She then went on to become a defence correspondent, and now is a New York Times #1 bestselling author. When she rights, she rights with British military slang, and kit is just a natural part of that, used casually, informally, as American military members use gear.

So, yes, I do say kit, but I don't believe I use it to the same ******y level as others I've heard saying it.

Well said. That's the kind of ignorance that I can't stand.

I believe some of these people. They probably don't leave their house/basement much though.

A common overused cliché defending their edc: one is none, two is one...

I wasn't aware of this till about an hour ago, but the German translation of To Each His Own, Jedem das Seine, was posted over the entrance to the NAZI concentration camp Buchenwald. The phrase in Latin, Suum cuique, was imprinted on the Prussian Order of the Black Eagle medal.

Oh, so you've never voted, been to the post office, flown on an airplane, attended school, entered a courthouse, etc.?
I've legally carried while voting, in Virginia.
Illegal in Florida. Although absentee voting is still an option.

I've carried while flying in an airplane, in fact, three of us flew to a gunshow where one guy bought a pistol, and we all flew home. Cessna 172, IIRC. Pre 2001.

I'd rather be tried by twelve than carried by six.

Actually, I'd rather not even be indicted.

I swear on my life that every gun show I go to in the DFW area I hear "I carry a .45 because they don't make a .46." AT LEAST 3 to 4 times. Hey dummies - every hear of .460 Rowland, .50 GI, .50 AE, .460 mag, .500 mag, etc..?
