New Glock 31 Gen 4

Picked up a new Glock model 31 Gen 4 this weekend. It's my first new Glock in over 2 years. Took it out to the range and put 100 rounds through without any problems whatsoever. Shot up some Georgia Arms 125 TMJ rounds. Although the recoil was a bit snappy it was totally manageable. I'll have to say I'm pretty impressed with it. I purchased an Old Paso Saddlery Snap Off Elite carry rig with mag carrier for it. I'll be buying some extra mags and some night sights next.

Congrats on the G31! I really like the .357SIG round, and carry my G33 the most. I don't have a G31, but have a G31 barrel I use in my G22. It's really a nice shooter. Enjoy yours!

Congratulations...My 2012 Gen4 G31 has become my favorite handgun! (I also converted my G27 to a G33.)

I added Glock night sights (note that your G31 is supplied with 6.9mm elevation rear sights from the factory...short dash over long dash on right side of sight).

The G31 is my only handgun on which I keep a tac light/laser (Streamlight TLR-4 ) installed at all times.

For SD purposes, I use Underwood JHP. It has become available recently after more than a year's absence (but it is selling fast).

Congrats. I found a killer deal on a NIB gen4 Glock 31 on Gunbroker a few days ago. $465 shipped. I should have it sometime next week.

This will be my first gen4. I hope I like it.

The recoil is going to be a bit snappy; otherwise, it ain't a .357SIG. I can say that there was a noticeable difference in felt recoil between the Gen3 and Gen4 G22, shooting .357SIG ammo (my reloads: 125gr. FMJ's). The Gen4 handled the recoil better, no doubt due to the dual-spring captive RSA. The .357SIG has been one of my favorite rounds for the last 20 years or so.

Enjoy,
AK

From my limited experience the .357sig caliber is about as good as it gets in all-round handgun versatility.
