Damn. I'm surprised you got that one. That quote was just about googleproof.

I felt like watching a movie with some horsepower and CRII popped up on an iTunes search. I sure love these old movies. They attracted some heavyweight talent.

No Google. We owned a video store and I love B movies. Especially anything with cars.

If I remember correctly, this was Jackie Chan's first American movie.

What's behind you does not matter.

Then Franco (Raul Julia) rips off the rear view mirror.

Jackie Chan's first movie was The Big Brawl. It's actually pretty decent, me and my friends got caught up in the late 70's early 80's Martial Arts craze, especially with the movies. That's a good one if you have not seen it yet.

Love the Cannonball Movie too. I'm watching them again pretty quick since you're talking about them!

They are great flicks.

Jackie Chan set some sort of milestone with Cannonball Run II. I remember them talking about it in interviews, when the movie came out. Maybe it is just that it was his first big mainstream movie. Anyway, the fight scene with him and the bikers was outstanding.

I just spotted a huge continuity error in Cannonball Run II. Dean Martin and Sammy Davis are driving a red Corvette. They see the Army green Chrysler Imperial that Burt Reynolds and Dom Deluise are in, along with the nuns. Dean Martin says, " I am going to to make a private out of him (Burt Reynolds)", and he swerves in to run them off the road. Then they show them running them off the road, but all of a sudden, their red Corvette is a red 1984 or 85 Dodge Charger. The Charger runs the Chrysler off the road and all of a sudden, it's a red Corvette again.

I know that there are a lot of small slip-ups in movies like this, but damn. Car guys watch these movies. How many car guys are going to fail to notice a red Corvette turning into a POS mid-eighties FWD Dodge Charger? This occurred one hour and a few seconds into the movie.

I had forgotten about Jackie Chan's Mitsubishi turning into a submarine and hooking the boat of drunken fisherman.

I had to laugh when they showed Frank Sinatra wearing a Members Only jacket. That is just so Eighties.

I think the gag reel during the credits is the best part of the movie.

Those Bikers that hang out at Fruit Stands are tough. Jackie must have got them after lunch.

It'd be nice if they made an update of that. Could be good if done right, and I don't like rehashed flicks, in general.
