This is what happens when your wife, that's driven the same car for 6.5 years with the gas on drivers side, rents a car with it on the driver's side and doesn't pay attention when leaving the gas station.

Condo I'm in has a shower massage that won't stay put. Turns out the plastic bracket that holds the handle is cracked. I've seen 4 or 5 of them do that. You'd think the designers would know better. Or maybe it's intentional so you'll have to buy a whole new unit. Trouble with that is most folks will be mad about it and buy a different brand.

I didn't see it in the first three pages.

How about blister packaging with thick plastic? I wonder how many people cut themselves trying to open those each year. I'm sure my Mom couldn't open one of those with any amount of effort. I always go straight for the toolbox to find something to cut and pull those open. Ridiculous.

Maybe suggest driving lessons?

What kind of a design can a car manufacturer make that compensates for not paying attention?

My vote is for the GlockTalk classifieds 'feature'. The most difficult, useless for-sale feature of any forum I've ever seen bar none.

I agree, I was going to take one for the team and open one with a drywall knife, stab myself in the aorta, nearly die and then sue the every loving urine out of the blisterpack company and anyone the knew them so they would get rid of those foresaken things but I wimped out at the last minute.

Now I use one of these to cut them open, I have not found a blisterpack that was any sort of a challenge for it.

I will add the idiotic use of mixed metric and SAE bolts on vehicles particularly American cars in the 80s. I understand if the transmission comes from Japan and they are all Metric but Jeep has 5 3/8" engine mount bolts and one 12", same engine holding the same bracket. I think they challenged themselves to use as many fastener styles as they could find.

They also put holes in stupid places that seem to be only there for rust creation. On the PS rear wheel well they made a hole that opens under the roll bar mount. On the DS the hole is behind the wheel well. PS lots of rust DS not much rust at all.

I've seen the gas cap issue mentioned before. I think some manufacturers may have done this as a safety feature: if an emergency refuel is necessary, you're away from traffic in most countries.

Tell your neighbors and friends to stop shoplifting, and we can go back to blister free packaging.

Anti-theft "feature." Hard to open means hard to take out of the package and walk out of the store with it. At least this is how it was explained to me once, and it does make sense. Kind of like when people in wal mart will take an expensive oil filter, put it into the cheap filter package, place the cheap filter into the expensive package, and pay the cheap filter price.

Is stupid a design? Or just one of those things that happens?

Don't know about anyone else, but I'd love to kick 'stupids' ass.

It really pisses me off when even I has one of those 'stupid attacks'

This has been a rant
