Help Me, I Can't Stop!

Today I drove to a LGS that honors GSSF certificates to purchase yet another Glock. After discussing available models, I stepped away from the counter to think about which model to purchase. When I looked in the civilian Glock display case, I noticed an OD Glock 23 Gen4. I inquired and they also had an OD Glock 17 Gen4.

I decided to purchase the 23 (pics to follow), but it took everything within me not to also purchase the 17. If the past is any indication, I'll probably try to quickly save the cash and rush back over to purchase the OD 17.

I'll plan to use the GSSF on a G22 and on & on it will go! I don't see a good place to stop. Someone please tell me I'm not crazy!!!

As long as you can afford to keep buying, then do like I do & not look back because there like gold.
like you stated there will be yet other gouging parades & if you have to then sell.
congrats on the new purchase along with upcoming purchases.

Not really an issue as long it's not putting an undue financial burden on you(or Family) since resale value is pretty good on Glocks and most guns in general.

With that being said.... A large diverse gun collection is expensive, proper storage takes up a lot of space, maintenance is time consuming and owning an excessive amount of guns could make you a target for criminals if word gets out to the wrong people that you've got a hoard of weapons. Seems more of a burden to me, but if you've got the funds and it doesn't worry you having so much money invested, then I guess have at it.

I bought a black G29SF and a month later ran across an OD model. Bought it with the intention of selling the black one. It's still in the fold. I hope they don't start making them in desert tan.

Bought my first Glock this past November. G19. Loved it so much I put 900 rds through it in three weeks. Drove back to the LGS in Dec and picked up a G26 just for kicks. Decided I needed a 45ACP too so just ordered a G21 a couple days ago. I shoot a lot, mainly Sigs in the past, & I just got turned on to Glocks so I can understand your addiction to them. If you can afford it, keep on trucking, my man. Look 5 or 10 or 20 years down the road and realize that guns are good investments. I've sold 10 or 12 guns in my life, all for more than what I paid for them. I seriously doubt we'll look back 20 years from now and regret any gun purchases we made today. We'll probably wish we'd made more of them! Enjoy!

I've had a 100 or so Glocks, 33 at one time. You're doing fine. I have been lucky enough that Glock has gave me 25 of the Glocks I've had.

They are very addictive, bought my first one a couple years ago and then it seemed like every month there was another I wanted!

I own only 7 Glocks. What helped me to slowdown was when I shot and H&K, XDM, and a Sig P229. If you love Glock try H&K, or an XDM. For smooth shooting for me nothing can compare to a Sig. I can shoot them all day and night. Than would be H&K, and a XDM. After around 250 rounds Glocks really hurt my right thumb at the base.

Once you shoot it and you discover the superior accuracy and functioning of the OD Glock you will find the other ones a bit inferior.

When we are talking about pistols, the shooting of which is a perishable skill, investment in ammunition and training time becomes more important than buying your fifth pistol.

Congrats on the purchase of your 23 - a good all-round shooter for antipersonnel purposes. I hope you shoot it plenty and will never need to use it in self defense.
