Cruz is my hero, you should see the videos when he is dogging Frankenstein about gun control. She is so out of touch it scares me and he is so in-touch in floors me.
I wish he could run for president.

What makes you think he couldn't?

Edit: Great video and interview...

Cruz can make a run in the primaries but likely won't make it through. Right now he can't garner th majority support of the GOP.

If he can't gain the majority support of his own party, how likely is he to win the plurality of the general electorate comprised of more moderate voters.

Oh I beg to differ. We just have to do our best and make sure the media doesn't feed us another Romney that they know they can easily defeat. If Cruz runs I plan on volunteering for his campaign.

He lost the support of the majority of the party. That has nothing to do with the media.

If he is too rigid and conservative for the party, how will he ever get the moderate vote?

Moderation has been tried and failed the last two times. Barry is an example of how leaning hard to the base is the way to go.

Cruz seemed to be reciting campaign dialogue. (Maybe he chose that style to suit the audience?) Leno seemed impatient with Cruz’ answers and the questions seemed to be over-choreographed.

How did he answer it? I'm cruising GT from a tree and trying to minimize noise.

Agreed.
But if you can't get elected it doesn't matter.

It is math. You need to appeal the the majority of the electorate to become president.

At least for now Cruz cannot garner the majority support of the GOP because he is right of the party. It will be very hard for him to gain even the votes of moderate repubs, much less dems.

It is all math.

That remains to be seen. From what I've seen, I'd vote for him.

We've tried middle of the road moderate and liberal republicans already, seems like a good thing to abandon that loser plan.

Actually, its called fraud, not math, that wins elections.

Seriously though, I sincerely hope cruz is the real deal but he looks and sounds like a smarmy politician.I dont trust any of them. He obviously sounds like a good candidate but he could very well be controlled opposition. Seeing msm attack him brings hope however.

If that audience is a cross section of this country we are doomed. They clapped both for and against Obamacare. ??????

The problem is 109 million are in the FSA with only 108 million working so why would the majority ever vote for even a moderate Republican over the real thing, a Santa Claus Democrat?

Jay Leno was frowning when his Liberal California audience was clapping at Cruz’s responses.

Worth a try as maybe some of those voters who stayed away from the polls will come out for Cruz.

Cruz started out as an unknown in his Senate race with something like 5% in polls and won. Cruz has a better chance at the Presidency than media favorite Christie.

It was a decent interview. I wish Cruz had pointed out that what really caused the shutdown was the administration's refusal to delay the individual mandate. That was all they were asking for at the end.

Christie is going to have a difficult time in the early primaries, especially in the south. I am not saying he can't win the nomination, just saying he won't have an easy time getting there.

That said, I'll vote for Cruz if he runs.

Bingo... I think it's the Liberals (and their media partners) who are trying to convince us we have to run a moderate. Everytime I talk to a Republican, they get upset because the GOP is running what basically amounts to a "Democrat Lite" candidate.

Why not run a hardcore conservative like Cruz or Ryan? I think they both would fair far better than Romeny.

He can't win, he'd catch too much heat for the government shut down. The media would make it sound like he single handedly shut it down.

Rudy Giuliani - North East Republican - bombed in the primary.

Jon Huntsman – Moderate Republican and media darling - bombed in the primary.

Chris Christie will not sell west of the Delaware River.
