BCM Gunfighter charging handles

http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/BCMGU...ndle-s/123.htm

With this item coming in three sizes, how does one determine (before parting with your cash) which of the three sizes (S, M, L) will suit you AND not get all hung up on your gear?

My initial thouht is to split the difference and go with the medium

Anyone have experience with these?

Thanks,

I personally prefer the mod4. I suppose the only way to really know is to either buy and try or get to finger fiddle with someone elses. I had the opportunity to see all three in person and handle them on a rifle before I made my decision

That's probably going to be my best option...head to my LGS, fiddle with it and buy it there.

I have guns with all 3 sizes of the BCM charging handle. The Large is nice if I'm wearing gloves. The Medium is probably the best overall, but I like the Small if I'm going to have the gun slung for any length of time. The Small is the only one that doesn't dig into my chest.

I have all three sizes as well. Mostly I like the medium, but with a big honking scope I like the large.. FWIW

I was in the same ordeal about 11 months ago between the small and the medium. Finally saw Pat Rogers liked and used the medium so that is what I got. I am happy with it and for iron sights or a smaller optic or red dot it is perfect. If you throw a big piece of glass on however the large may be best.

If you get a size you don't like you will not have a problem selling it. They are probably the most popular aftermarket charging handle on the market right now.

Yep.. No problem on the resale. I like the large one for bench/bipod shooting. Makes it very easy to one-hand charge.. It really sticks out there, so for toting around it's gonna snag on everything..

I bought the large, now I kinda wish I'd bought the med size.
The large isn't horrible but more extension than I need.

The large if you have a decent scope, medium or small for anything else.

My med works fine with a Nikon 4-16x50 in a LaRue SPR-E.

I use a medium. The Large isn't quite as big as a PRI but it's big. The small is only slighter bigger than a standard model IIRC.

I've got multiple BCM GF mediums, and the ambi.
Overall I prefer the Rainier Arms Ambi.

Seems everyone who tries the Raptor falls in love with it, a bit on the pricey side though.

It's a bit pricey but when compared to the other "high end" charging handles (PRI, Badger Ordnance, BCM Ambi GF) is is priced about the same.

The BCM GF is a great upgrade, especially when you can find them on sale for $35 or so once in a while. But the Rainier Arms Raptor takes it to the next level.
