The Marine Corps could save even more money if they put everybody in little skirts.

Will do, I'm probably too old for an F-16, but it will be nice to tell the Nav to go back and get me a cup of coffee.

The President is the face of the government, and the 'head homie in charge, yo' - conveying emotional distress to an entity (the .gov) does not create the same sense of release as it does when connecting with an individual (the President).

To generate that path that empathy flows through means connecting with someone, not something, and then psychologically can release the tension.

He is involved in everything relating to the government, even if only as a human source to direct your feelings towards the government at.

It's not stupid, it's totally rational, expected and normal human psychological behavior.

Why would anyone doubt that Obama wants them to wear girly hats?

Anti Obama

Anything the Muslim-in-chief is for, I am against. He is the antithesis of everything decent and honorable in America. He makes me want to friggin' puke, I can't even stand his voice. If you voted for him, you deserve the fate he has steered this nation towards.

He is the Commander in Chief, but not MY CiC. I am grateful to no longer be in the military under his watch.

In case you're totally obtuse, if you helped elect the SOB you deserve your, and your families, fate. God may forgive you, but as an American I cannot. How the hell can so many possibly be so blind?

Berets

And just what is wrong with a beret! I earned the Maroon (airborne) beret, Black (then ranger) beret, and the coveted Green (Special Forces) beret.

In fact, the Green Beret is a presidential award presented to Special Forces by President John Kennedy, an honor that many try to earn but only a few actually earn.

A little bit of beret trivia, the Green Beret is entombed with fallen special operators because it is an award. No other soldiers a buried with a headgear.

Nothing against these fine units, but aside from their association with the Special Forces, the beret is a useless French appendage. It odes not protect the head, shield the eyes or serve as a weapon.

Ahhhh...I forgot about the use of the cover as a weapon.

Even the little girls in the marching band don't look girly. the piccolo player at 2:15 sure looks like a Marine to me.

I'd probably last three seconds in an F-16 once (if, and a very big if) I ever got the thing off the ground. But what a way to go!!!

I can certainly understand and respect it for special units, to distinguish them (like Airborne wearing jump boots, if they still do) but I have been told that, aside from that, the beret serves about the same purpose on the head as a wool sock, and is probably even less comfortable.

Turn main power on

JFS start 1

20% engine RPM and SEC light out, throttle to idle

And it's started.

A few days ago a good buddy and fellow former Marine had contacted 8th and I St (HQUSMC) and they replied. This is a bogus story and this will not happen. It certainly did stir up a hornets nest.

I'm sure that's the party line now after the hornet's nest: "It never happened; it's all a big misunderstanding".

Do you actually have any experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations? Efficiency isn't exactly a priority with the Fed Govt.
