Need help with auto electrical problem.

The blower fans that drive the rear a/c will randomly come on and much more loud and powerful than usual. It keeps killing my battery. It's an 04 TrailBlazer. Thanks!

No idea. I don't know Jack about this. There is a dial that controls the fans, and it may have a short. I got in it the other day, and it fired up before I put the key in the ignition.

Wow that's crazy. That means 2 problems. Power getting past ignition switch and fan coming on.

Where was the rear fan control set to when this happened?

Do you have the option up front to send control to the rear controls?
Try things. Ignition on and off. Look up recalls for this.

Disconnect the battery when not in use until you figure it out.

I never run it except on hot or cold days. It's a dial next to the shifter. Funny thing just happened... I just made a beer run, and as expected it didn't start. Couldn't pull the damn key out until after I got it jumped.

Blower motor control module/resistor. Common problem. The same one is used in a whole ton of GM vehicles. It's a $30 problem. I'm not sure of the location for the rear on a Trailblazer.

Don't unhook the battery, but find the right fuse to kill it until it's fixed.

Better yet, pull the hot wire to that blower motor.

Sounds like ya really don't need it anyway, and problem solved, unless the god blessed computer thinks there's another problem and causes even more things to go haywire
