Got a new gen 4 34!

I've been wanting one for a while now. I'm going to use it for IDPA. I've been shooting IDPA for a couple years on and off with a 17 and have gotten decent. I can't wait to start using the new one.

Congrats! That's what I'll be shooting at tomorrow's IDPA match.

Congrats! I use that one for IDPA, also. Comp-Tac paddle holster works for me, too.

Very nice! I could be perfectly happy with a G34 and a G26 as my only Glocks.

Yep...it's also a great carry pistol. I carry mine in an IWB Sparks VM-2. The balance and natural point (GFA) are exceptional.

However, wouldn't advise it for belt OWB carry. A little too long. I use my G19 on the belt.

Probably more pistol than I would carry IWB but if your going to a Sparks Versa Max is the way to go. Great holster.

Congrats!

I've been using G17 for IDPA, and wanting G34.

Let us know how you think compared with G17.

I actually bring both to the matches, with the G17 as a backup. I like the G34 better for these reasons:

1. Longer sight radius.
2. 4.5lb connector

Other than that, they're almost the same. The G17 comes out of the holster a hair faster, but I still prefer the G34. I think that you'll like the G34 when you get yours...

Thanks.
I have a Vogel trigger kit (SSP & ESP legal), and I really like it.

Any inputs on muzzle movements?

I didn't really notice (because I'm trying to get through the stages pretty quickly) but will next time. I shoot my own 124 gr. ammo, so it really isn't full-power, and I'm able to pick up the front sight pretty quickly. Just using stock adjustable sights, but am contemplating some Dawson sights soon. I really like the Glock sights, though.

General Glocking

Mine has Dawson FO adjustable sights, Vanek Classic GM trigger group, and a Jager striker.

Love the Glock 34s.
I have close to 40,000 rounds through the 2 pin 34 with zero parts breakage. I have half that much though the other with zero parts breakage. Both have Barsto barrels. I've replaced the recoil springs here and there but that's it. Most of the ammo has been WWB and my own reloads. I can't tell you the last time I had a malfunction with either pistol. The reliability has been as good as it gets.

Thanks SCmasterblaster,
I couldn't afford to shoot these days without reloading.
I miss the days when I could get 100 rounds of WWB at Walmart for $9.00.

I got one of these but I quickly stopped using it because I simply shoot the 19 (stock no changes) much better so that's my idpa gun and the 34 stays in the safe.
However I take the 34 out to the range ever so often because it's just a lot of fun to shoot.
