45 Win Mag 230gr FMJ: Blue Dot or Power Pistol?

I have very limited data in my manuals. Anyone have a proven recipe with just either of these powders?

I do not, but I did find this:

http://handloads.com/loaddata/defaul...Powder&Source=

It doesn't list Power Pistol, but does have one or two Blue Dot loads.

Sorry, that didn't cut and paste well. No data on Power Pistol here, but Blue Dot is slower which better lends itself to magnum loads. Having said that, I've never cared for Blue Dot. Loud and flashy.

Can't help with numbers as I am out of town, but avoid Blue Dot like the plague. Funky wicked pressure spikes that come out of nowhere.

Zombie: thanks for the BD data. Are these out of your books or have you worked them yourself? Boom & flash is what I love.

Question as to the OAL. I measured several older factory rounds at 1.62 -1.67. IIRC since I already know that this longer length functions fine there should be no issues since it would not create extra pressure, right?

Keep in mind the OP is loading for a 45 Win Mag, not 45 ACP...
