My point exactly.

Notice how the baseless personal attacks just keep coming? Notice how I don't take the bait? I'm not the one who's thin skinned nor am I offended. I simply don't accept someone's self proclaimed right to put other people their little boxes and I'm thick skinned enough to not let them shout me down. I have to ask where they get the authority to do that and why they feel the need to do it. Of course, they can't tell me because they haven't thought about it. Unlike many in this forum, I don't feel threatened by people who aren't like me nor do I feel everyone should try to be like me. Vive la différence.

Don't know what the problem is. Hope her husband takes darn good care of her. Wish I could drop my baby weight.

+1. I wouldn't call the fatties "pigs" though. They're undisciplined and/or ignorant about how they're body works (or just don't give a #@$&).

Remember when Valerie Bertinelli lost weight and appeared on the cover of a magazine in a bikini, looking like a teen ager?
She ballooned again.
Still a very beautiful woman though.

This woman may do the same thing. Time will tell.

This is what you don't seem to get.

Say I bench press 200 lbs. Perhaps I go to a gym where someone bench presses 500 lbs and I decide I want to break that record. I train very, very hard for it. I get to 400 lbs but can't get to 500.

Would I have gotten to 400 lbs if I went to a gym where the highest bench press was 300 lbs? Maybe but doubtful. Competion has inspired me to maximize my potential. Even if I didn't win, I maximized my potential.

That is how the world works.

Anti-gunners hate because the sight of a person with a gun reminds them of their own inadequacy. This is no different. Some people live in a bubble of denial and hate anything that might threaten to burst that bubble. The image of a fit woman challenging them to get off their ass is more than they can handle.

Bertinelli has always been a hottie, no matter her weight

Losing weight, then regaining it, has got to be better than just always gaining weight. Isn't it?

Wait, that supports competition. I thought competition was supposed to be bad?

Or maybe it is just capitalism that is bad. Or America.

I get so confused.

I saw Scarlett Johansson last night in a movie from 2004. She was very nicely curved and looked great. No bruises from that.

Not an attack, an observation. I said you seem thin-skinned, not that you are thin-skinned. There is a difference. You say you are not offended but you words don't reflect that. If you are not offended, you should choose different words to better communicate your lack of offense.

They have that right (and the authority) because they were endowed by their creator with them, and the US Constitution endeavors to protect that right, at least from the government. If you don't like, that is your right as well.

They feel the need to do it, to encourage others to step past their self imposed barriers by showing it can be done by example. Some people need examples to drive them to achieve things, if you are not one of them good for you.

You seem to state a competition free society would be better, yet you have yet to cite a successful large scale example of one. We are still waiting.

So everyone should shut up and goose step? No thanks.

You didn't define better or "successful large scale", so that gives you the option to weasel out of anything I write, but given your ambiguous challenge, here's a partial list.

Notice the U.S. comes in tenth?

Here's a different ranking. We're not even in the top 10.

http://www.cnn.com/2013/09/09/busine...ness-rankings/

We're 33 here.
Were seventh here. [quote]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...PP)_per_capita[QUOTE]

And tenth here. Notice that we're first here.

I not saying you should goose step, or shut up. I am saying have a cogent argument, and I suggest trying not to take every statement in the most negative fashion possible. I don't think she was trying to insult everyone that was not her. She said "If I can do it, you can too". You assume she has perfect genetics. I think you assume too much, and have not walked a mile in her shoes.

Which one of those is countries is competition free? None that I saw.

Yeah, like her attitude too.

It's kinda like she told all the whiners & complainers who can't appreciate who she is and what's she's done to **** off and get a clue, without saying so directly

100% agree. She looks fantastic and has every right to be proud of it.
