Restless28,
I know Wednesday night/Thursday morning is when you like to drink. Just know that I am here for you if you want to talk.

I am very proud of you either way. Just acknowledgement that there might be an issue is a big step. Just know that I am here for you brother!

Please let me know if I can help you.

Diagnosed diabetic. It just seemed like a bad idea at any level after that.

Probably pretty much had drank up most of my quota by then any way.

Well i love booze and cant stand the awful smell of weed and how it lingers. Both should be legal though. Downed a bunch of bourbon last night!

My father was an alcoholic and so were his parents. At college I discovered that drunk people annoy me. So, I only occasionally have a couple beers or a glass of wine with dinner. A beer with lunch is nice too. But I don't like the feeling of being drunk, and am turned off by my experiences around drunk people and my father. If I am ever in the mood to feel different from how I normally feel, a little MJ is more to my liking.

Rarely drink

Only a couple times a year. Mostly if I go out for dinner with my wife We will sometimes have a drink.

Alcohol is not a good value proposition for me.
- I don't like it enough to justify paying the price
- I don't like it enough to drink enough to get drunk

I don't drink because i just don't have the urge to. Drinking doesn't benefit me in anyway and i don't care for the idea of feeling like crap the next day.

Thanks. That was my little buddy 12 years ago. I lost him back in March, and that image is one of my favorites. I can still remember the tennis ball being too big for him...

When I was in my youth all the most interesting people I knew drank and many of them drank too much.

As I got older, I started to realise that more and more of the people who I considered interesting (generally different people than those from my youth) had give up drink completely or reduced it significantly.

I have just had a tumor removed from my Pancreas and will not be able to drink for a month or so - I am considering making it permanent.

Essentially no drinking for me. In my thirties while lined up at a trough with a bunch of fellas I determined I was putting a fortune down the drain. Stopped right there. Same with, up in smoke, and 50cents a pack was wayyyy too much.

As soon as I'm done with one more mixed drink I'm done for the night. I'll flat out quit till tomorrow at about 5pm.
