Not sure about the .380acp glock but if they make one in 9mm I would replace my shield in a heart beat. I do like the nonfinger groves though like the gen2.

Yeah yeah yeah , most you guys will buy one I bet

There seems to be a lot of guys and girls on here saying that they refuse to buy this Glock in a .380 cartridge but I bet over half of those guys/gals will be the first set of people to get one . Heck I will buy one . Especially if it is reliable . For me the most reliable and long-lasting pistol in the .380 cartridge is the CZ-83 . Mine has functioned flawlessly . It may be big for a .380 but it is reliable.

I showed my wife and she said I could have her G26 if I got her the G42. She just doesn't feel comfortable with the fat grip of the G26. Of course I can't get her to practice enough with it.

It's bigger than the Kahr cm9/pm9 and in 380. Eh...nice to see glock getting into this market, but not greatly impressed.

Marketing usually gets set up and NDA's (nondisclosure agreement) signed with print houses months out. This is a leak and could cost the printer a ton of money. I have signed a few NDA's and the agreements are quite binding. Companies don't like these leaks and someone's probably having a bad day now.

ETA : I've worked with some great local printers that have had one week turnaround and ready for distribution to avoid this type of thing from happening.

If this supposed photo page is real I predict it will be easier to find Obama's real birth certificate (long form) than one of these in the next six months due to demand. Buckle up for another .380 ammo shortage.

Yep followed almost immediately by it arriving in quantity at dealers across the country, it was only after the first large batch was scooped up they became a bit scarce briefly. Gotta say S/W handled the new release better than about any gun company I've ever seen.

On the 42, like the no finger grooves, hope that becomes a trend.

There's been a .380 shortage for about 2yrs now.... Where have u been bro? I know since Glock is stamped on the slide it will SELL.... But since .380 around my parts (whenever on a FULL Blue Moon Arises) hell it costs as much as .45ACP!!

The only good thing to me about this pistol being made is by geometry's sake... A 9mm G43 can follow in a year since this year Glock chose to go 9mm KURTZ....

However, 40 cal fans... Read it and weep... You know you're losing an additional round if they make a G44, for the same geometric principle. 5+1 in .40S&W in this envelope makes NO SENSE!

Well, it's obvious I am not a .380 owner.

Correct, but 9mm does. It'd be a perfect little backup.

Thats almost 1" longer and 3/4" taller than the Ruger LCP. This makes no sense to me. No need for a sub compact size .380. I'll bet they plan on chambering that thing in 9mm in the near future.

Edit: Yep, almost the same size as the LC9 and the Beretta Nano. Anyone else see where this is going?

After reading this thread I have come to the conclusion that GLOCK is actually going to make a .380 single stack because nobody wants one, there are too many out there, it's an ineffective caliber and it will piss off existing GLOCK owners.

Kind of sounds like the same thing they're doing with Obamacare?

If it's locked breach reducing recoil and easier to actually hit something with than a khar or lcp might find a receptive market
