Glock 30S

My local LEO/public safety supplier Ray O'herons here in Illinois doesn't have or can't get me the G30S, they have a 4th Gen .45 but it's not what I'm looking for. Having a super hard time trying to locate on, especially under "Glocks blue label" program.

Any help, guidance would be appreciated! Thanks!

Frames are not the same, also, hand fitment. The Gen 4 has a bigger, thicket slide..

There is no 30S Gen4...just yet. OP is referring to a G30 Gen4.

Thank you, for the clarification.

I had the 30 g4 in my hand but was more interested in the little bit thinner 45 that has more capacity than my XDs 45 which is out for the recall. For my needs the 30s is good. The weight of the 30 does make it a softer shooter than either the XDs or 30s.

You might get a better response on this from CopTalk, for blue label dealers and all.

Gotcha; I forgot there's a time on the forum and post count that have to be reached before you can post there. I'll try to link it to here.

Check out Cabelas, they may have some. Not blue label though.

Use the Glock LEO dealer search and call around.http://us.glock.com/dealer-locator

Make sure to switch it search for LE Dealers so you can find blue label items. You could also buy straight from Glock. Any LE Dealer can sel you the gun and ahve it shipped to a local FFL for you.

Agreed. Check with Kiesler, Streichers or any of the other out of state LE dealers and see if they'll ship one to O'Herrons for you.

I have been in contact w Glock directly, they informed me that if I place a direct order, the order would take anywhere from 270 days and up waiting period..

Not surprising.

It's been my experience, especially when hopeful of acquiring something that's hard to find and which is in demand, that nabbing said product when it appears is a good idea, even if it costs more than I'd like to spend. It may cost more, but if it's something really wanted, saving a few bucks, or even 50 bucks or so depending on the product, can really outweigh what will feel like an interminable delay.

BTW, I got my 30S at Cabelas in the gun library, where "used" guns are sold. Far as I could tell, mine had never been shot after leaving the factory. And I got a GREAT deal on it, too.

YMMV.

Good luck!
