'Zactley. My lawyer warned me to be prepared that my ex would do this.

+1

Most likely nothing to see here, he was probably in the middle of an armed intervention to prevent some local black-kid-candy-store-activity and the wife and dad crossed his line of fire just as he was about to break leather and save the day.

Wow, that's cold but I can really see her doing it.

I think he should cut his losses and stay far away from her. Apparently her filing for divorce is doing him a favor.

Good riddance!

The area of dispute between them is probably her control of the Zimmerman defense fund money.

Yeah, but she's not the one he wants to be with.

Zimmerman's got a thing for his first cousin... been trying to sexxx her up since they were kids.

He needs to follow Casey Anthonys lead instead of OJ Simpsons. I believe GZ was innocent and justified in shooting TM, but he could still end up doing hard time for spitting on the sidewalk.

This is probably part of the deal she cut with the prosecution.

Concealed carry + soon to be divorced wife + wife's parents house = bad juju. He should have left the gun in the car.

This media reporting is confusing.
CNN says on the 911 call she says he's in his car, trying to close the garage door on me, he has his hand on his gun. He hit my father in the nose. He stabbed my iPod with a pocket knife.

Sounds like the wife is just pissed off and trying to cause trouble.

Best wait for the facts. It's just going to be TV drama today. I think I'll try and find a Telituby rerun to watch....

If he did assault his wife or father in law while carrying or using his gun, then he's an idiot considering half the country still wants him behind bars.

In this case though, I'd lean more towards the crazy wife making up stories.

Disregard legal issues for a moment. There was an epic thread on whether GZ was "foolish."

Since that thread, he has had multiple contacts with LE.

Wait for more info.

People do all kinds of stupid/crazy things.

That could go for either George or his wife.

Wait for more info, work on restraining exercise of bias/desired outcome.

He put himself in the position where he had to defend himself. He wanted to play police and got away with it (shooting someone).

He comes across as arrogant, cocky and wanting to rub it in everyone's face. He really seems to want his 15 minutes of fame to last even longer.

I doubt he's long for this world.

I've defended GZ from a legal perspective. But he has continually shown that he doesn't have enough common sense to avoid situations like this.

Rule number one when dealing with a soon to be ex-spouse is to avoid potential confrontations altogether.

I stand by my well founded initial observations that he acts before he thinks...He is reactive and not a tactical thinker, he should watch , weigh options formulate a plan then think it through.

May be a great guy, but he needs to get some street smarts, and pretty darn quick.

He's a mimbo, instead of laying low for awhile, he HAD to go to Kel-Tec for a photo opportunity. No common sense.

3:1 Odds Zimmerman will be charged in other homicide within the next 6 months.
2:1 Odds Zimmerman will commit suicide within the next 6 months.
10:1 Odds Zimmerman will be killed for bounty/revenge.
Even money Zimmerman will be shot dead in a stand-off with LEO's.

Place your bets.

Maybe Obama and Holder got Zimmerman's wife to narc on him in exchange for the perjury charge?

I hope this ends up being nothing serious.
Have you seen how fat this guy has become? Stress indeed! He probably plows down the junk food like it's water in a desert.
