I saw that this AM. They go 6", I go home. Won't do it. If they want to do that, they'll lose a good amount of their base, which means more lost market share or coming out with 3-4 different models.

I don't think they'd offer only a giant size.

I could go bigger than 3.5 but that's too big.

The women of GT need to chime in on this topic if size truly does matter...

As large as 6".

6" is too big for me. Honestly, it' huge now. I hate stuff in my pockets. I take it out of my pocket when I'm home.

A certain segment will go for it. Big is in right now and phones are becoming more of a status symbol than a car (again...in a certain demo I see around town).

Longer term I think 6in. is about right for a guy/gal looking for a one item phone/tab/almost computer. The holy grail is one item that solves multiple problems. A screen that's often just big enough. A form factor that's just small enough for a pocket.

I'm in.

Any bigger than that and you would have to wear it in a phone holster, which would kill it for me.

I have enough trouble fitting my iPhone 5 in my pocket. Unless bib overalls come back in style I can't see anything bigger.

Apple has beta products of a lot of stuff that never gets released. I'd imagine they've had larger screen phones in one fashion or another for quite a while now. Eventually they will release one, they are losing more and more sales every year by sticking with the smaller screen. Big screens are what's popular right now. Apple is getting by on the desirability of the OS and people who buy Apple as a status/social symbol.

Whenever they do introduce one I'd imagine it will be as a multiple device strategy. They have a following of people who prefer the smaller screen size. Personally 4" is as big as I want to go. For me one handed use is very important. I used a Galaxy Nexus for a couple of weeks and it was to large, I like the smaller screen. I have an iPad Mini for media consumption, my phone is for mobile use and for that I want a smaller size.

My guess is that they are creating a diversion to keep leaks from occurring on the new iWatch that I'm guessing that they will reveal Sept 10th.

I'd go for it. I left the iPhone for an HTC Thunderbolt due to screen size. Then went with the SIII and have regretted not getting the NoteII, which for me, is just the right size. I use my phone as a tablet more than as a phone so I want a lot of real estate.

I don't do the whole status symbol thing. I dress like an old surfer most of the time so i could give a **** about status. I just like a big phone.

They would have already leaked it by now if that were going to happen.

The screen size was the only reason I did not buy a iphone.

6" screen size? Now I would buy one.

I think they are moving in the right direction by offering a bigger screens. This is the reason why I dumped my Iphone and went with a Galaxy S3. I would consider another iphone if they offered something in the 5.0in range.

iPhone 5 is a perfect size for me. Main reason I won't give Android a second glance is the only Verizon phones that seem to be worth a damn- the Galaxy models are just giant. I don't want anything that absurdly big as a phone. And I absolutely don't get the whole phablet thing but I read the other day they're extremely popular in Asia and the Middle East. Weird.

I really don't want a bigger iPhone. Hell I'm delaying upgrading from my iPhone 4 for as long as I can. The smaller size I can use one hand to hit everything while holding it. The wife's 5 is just a bit too big IMO
