'89 Chrysler LeBaron with a 2.5 liter Turbo-Charged 4-cylinder, 2-door coupe. Thing was an absolute beast! Easily got it over 130 mph; I'd NEVER go that fast again. Jesus, it was scary.

1957 Chevrolet 210, I bought it when a '57 Chevy was just another used car. I paid $125.00 for it from a friend of the family, it had four doors, a straight six with a knack for breaking the rear rocker shaft, three on the tree and four fifty air conditioning. The radio was a tube AM only with one speaker and a trunk big enough to play handball in.

And here I thought lasers traveled at the speed of light, it sounds like your Laser would have trouble traveling above 70MPH.

My 2002 5-speed 94 hp Kia Rio goes over 105 mph, but I haven't gone faster than that. Too afraid to.

1950 Ford F-100. Had the Hundred horse flathead V8. Chrome stacks and fat tires. Midnite blue. It was a chick magnet, as was I.
Older brother had a 1940 P.U.with the flathead. Cousin had the '40 Ford coupe.

1966 GTO with factory headers and six pack. Mint condition.

Bought it in 1973 for $800. I think there worth like 18K now. I sold it six months later because I couldn't afford the insurance.

Bright Metallic blue 67 Camaro 327 210 hp with a power glide, it was all original, bought it from the original owners in 1984, certainly needed to be freshened up so I got a new interior and Paint, promised the owners I would not hot rod it. I kept it for ten years and got married, had three kids and simply needed to get something more family friendly, what a freaking dumbass I was.....

85 S-10 4x4. I keep my eyes out for it. I'd love to buy it back and build it over again with the knowledge I've gained in decade plus since I got rid of it.

1964 Rambler Classic 770. Four door sedan, white over dark green. 289 V8 under the hood. Loved that car.

It was a hand me down from my dad who replaced it with a 1972 Mercedes 220D... which ended up being my son's first car.

I feel your pain!

My first was also a 67 Camero.
Then I had a mint 79 Z28
Then a 66 Mustang with a 289.

Wish I still had all of those cars especially the 79 Z28 as it was mint. Can't find a decent one now that I can afford to even work on.

I have a 94 Jeep Wrangler that I bought new and built. I'll never let it go as I e regretted selling my last cars.

The Okie Corral

My friends keep pushing me to get a "Daily Driver" as my Jeep is built more for Off Road than street, and that wears on my drivetrain.

Thing is, if I got a "Daily Driver". It would probably be more like a 1955 Buick... LOL

Oh yeah...

I was 15 and working weekends washing dishes and cooking.
My father had to get out of bed at 3:00 AM on Saturday and Sunday mornings to pick me up. He was just happy that I was working and doing so for the purpose of making money to take out girls.

He had always told me "you want a car, you buy it, you feed it".
After months of picking me up from my job in th wee hours though he bought a 15-year-old Chevy Biscayne 4-door. The story was that it had been a NYC taxi... I believe he paid $150 for it.

Puke green, rubber floor mat interior, inline 6 with 2-speed automatic, about 1,000,000 miles on it. One rear door was a little crushed and had been repainted over the damage with a brush and green house paint.

"Son, you can drive this to work, to school, and to date Beth on weekends.. Anywhere else and I gotta know first."

First date: the battery wasn't bolted down. As I turned onto her street on Saturday evening the battery flipped over and shorted the battery cable, melting it and shutting the car down. Dad and a friend came and got it going again.

The paint was so bad that when on my first dates we pulled back into the dirt road into the woods the scratches from all the trees didn't show up at all.

That old car had great big flat bench seats... perfect.

'66 VW Beetle. Had to carry an ice scraper in winter..........to keep the INSIDE of the windshield clear. Still drove to school many many frigid mornings with my head out the side window. BRRRRRRRRRR!

Same ending as above, dropped a valve in the engine, but not before I rolled it on its side trying to do a power slide in a corner. Damn swing axle, rear engine, rear drive just wasn't up to the task. Rolled it back on its wheels and drove it home,
