My father disappointed me too. He said I was worth a Million dollars. Everyone else in my life has told me it's a hell of a lot less.

Heck I've been that way since I was 15..lol.

Birthday's are just something I stopped caring about when I started working. I had other priorities, and just didn't care. Work, girls, car, etc. When I graduated HS, I didn't even stick around to talk to my family. I walked off stage, walked straight to my car, took off my cap/gown, and went to work.

A few years back, there was no Obama. Perhaps your Dad's feeling the effects and is worried about the future. Maybe they overdid it with the AR and just can't afford to give you more with Obama ruining everyones savings.

You get birthday money from your parents at the age of 40??????

I stopped getting birthday money from my parents as soon as I was grown up. And even back then, 200 clams was a lot more than they ever spent on my present.

Stop whining and go buy that Colt AR with your own money.

My family lives far away, and my usual practice is to let my birthday go by without telling anyone it's my birthday because I don't want to seem like I'm fishing for presents.

Anyone else get their feeling hurt by Ma and Pa lately? I'll buy myself an AR just to piss them off.
