Life of Pi.

I don't often become mesmerized by films, but we watched Life of Pi in HD last night. We had kids in and out of the house though, so I think I need to see it again.

Thank God for DVR.

Anyone else like it?

I watched it last night. not enough gun fights, car chases, or boobies to make it a good film.

and.....spoiler alert.......an island that eats people? I guess I do not have that big of an imagination.

I don't think you got it.

The island wasn't real... It represented his own cannibalism, that saved his life.

I absolutely loved it, and even more so the second time.

You need to watch the ending again, and listen and watch closely.

Was a good movie, and the imagery was amazing.

I can only imagine what it would be like in Blue-Ray.

it was a very good story. when you put together the animals ect. to the people etc.... you see how he makes a horrific story into a childrens story so he can deal with the pain somewhat.

I liked that movie. Good acting, interesting storyline and some of the best imagery ever put on film.

SPOILER:
The scene where he dives under the water and sees the ship fully submerged and quietly drifting to the bottom with some of its lights still not shorted out and shining through the water was about the most haunting visual imagery I've ever seen on the big screen.

I like the line about swimming. "A little pool water will not harm you. But panicing about it will." Or something like that.

I think the book is better than the movie but the movie had some spectacular scenes you didnt "see" in the book. I read the book and saw the movie then read the book again and then saw the movie again. Excellent.

I guess I'll go against the crowd. I saw it last year. It was not for me.

I know I could probably get more out of it by watching it again, but I couldn't tolerate watching it again.

Great acting and scenery/effects, etc, but it was too tedious trying to constantly decipher what was happening and what it meant.

Irfan Khan is a great actor.

Check him out in the Indian movie called The Warrior.

watch the story for what it appears to be (fantasy) during the telling of it, then as they question some things towards the end you will see how it all so easily fits together....

no sir. I think you missed it. The point he was trying to make was that unfortunately, it is easier for people to believe how horrible man is or can be rather than having faith.

If I ever get a pet tiger, I'm naming him Richard Parker.

I enjoyed the movie... Incredible visual effects. Great story.

I must lack the level of sophistication required to enjoy it. I wouldn't watch it again if I were paid.

Oh, I got it- I was simply explaining the island scene, not the whole movie...

I thought it was a great movie. This is one that needs your total attention. Not to be watched while multitasking.

If you like running, chasing, shoot em' up explosion movies this probably isn't for you.
