It makes me laugh and I don't have to change the channel when my kids are in the room while I'm watching. Thats enough for me to DVR it and watch it regularly.

I concur. I like that the grandparents are spending time with the grandkids and they teach them to be respectful. Furthermore the grandparents are held up as an important part of the family.

I'm so sick of programming that makes the dads and granddads look like a bunch of buffoons.

Beat me to it. Duck Commander goes back way before Duck Dynasty. These guys are duck hunting legends. The show is just a great way for then to make money. Good for them.

I don't get it because I don't really know what it is. I suppose it is some "hot" TV program. I haven't even owned a TV in the last 20 years.

The people the show features are probably fine individuals but the show itself? Worthless.

So worthless that the season premier set a record with 11.8 million viewers last week

Face it wannabe snobbers, its funny and America loves it, thats why you hate it. Its hip to hate what other people like, right? Thats what my 13 year old tells me.

I like it because they stand up for their values and it's about as clean as it gets for television today, something RARE indeed. Sure it's scripted, but I'm fine with that.

Am I missing something?
Not sure I "get" it.

What I do is watch it for a half hour and laugh my #ss off.

I realize that it is fake. Who cares. Top Gear is faked and I laugh my #ss off at it as well.

I got hooked after a few shows of a marathon. It's one of the few decent "reality" shows on TV.

I had their VHS tapes back in the 90's. These guys CAN get a limit of ducks in a hurry, and have great calling skills.

I finally got around to watching it. I had some free time on Labor Day. I have knocked out about 11 episodes between then and now. I gotta admit, it is pretty funny and entertaining. I have been trying to watch them in order, but somehow I accidentally clicked on a Season 2 episode while I am in Season 1. I gotta say that "out of order" episode saw (the one about the Samurai sword) was one of the funniest things I've seen on TV.

I don't watch it often, but its a good clean family show.

Interestingly, the great sports writer, Mark Schlabaugh, was the co-writer in Phil and Willy's books, which are both on the NYT Best Sellers List, and Phil's hit number 1.

Si's book is coming soon.

America loves them. Good stuff.
