Loaded gun found on seat of Disney ride

http://www.wftv.com/news/news/local/...ey-ride/nX57f/

This one's short but interesting on a couple levels.

Turn it in. Sooner or later it's going to show up on NICS. One day you're going to have the thing run on you and it'll come back lost/stolen. Not worth it, even if it's a Sig.

I read someplace else that it was a Cobra .380; in the Lorcin/Jennings/ Bryco family.....so it wasn't a high end gun to begin with....

Concealed carry FAIL.

Complete idiot. Hopefully he will decide not to carry anymore.

Ya...didn't know he couldn't carry there...right

Personally I don't carry at my local amusement park, not because I can't...actually I haven't seen a sign when I am there prohibiting carry. I don't carry there because I'm not sure how I could comfortably and safely carry there. IWB i don't think would be very comfortable on the roller coasters. I could keep it in my backpack but that gets left behind at the ride station when I am on the ride so that's not a very safe way to go about it. Unless I could find a way to mount a gun vault to my backpack LOL.

I would have expected something a bit higher end from a Disney ride. A Bryco/Jennings/Lorcin seems more appropriate for a different theme park

Damn, think of the new commercials - "I just got my permit! I'm going to Disney!"

What felony? You saying it was stolen property?

I've carried at Disney, there is no Florida law against it.

Guess if he goes back he won't be able to use the "I didn't know" excuse again.

Disney is private property. They are under no obligation to serve any given person, and can ask anyone to leave for any reason or no reason. Just because they asked him to leave doesn't mean that he broke a law.

The circumstances do mean that he is a pinhead, though. Maybe being a pinhead should be illegal, but it isn't.

I'm actually here now (Disney World) been here for almost 8 days and I can verify there are no metal detectors and as long as your not carrying any kind of bag they just wave you on through the security check to the entrance where you show/scan your ticket. I was actually surprised coming from DFW where we are season pass holders to Six Flags over Texas. There they do have metal detectors and wand you at the gate.

It's also illegal to carry at Six Flags over Texas even with a CHL. (The 'amusement park' clause reads like it was written just to exclude Six Flags owned parks)
