G26 pocket carry?

I have been looking at smaller guns for my first ccw weapon, and im looking strongly at the Glock 26. I heard someone online saying people pocket carry the G26. I was just wondering if any one really does this? it seems a little larger to be pocket carried however i don't have the experience to know if that's true.
thanks for the help!

Even though I love my 45s, during the summer I carry either a 26 or a 33 in the back pocket of my jeans. I wear a long t-shirt or a long polo shirt outside my pants. Never had anyone claim they saw it. I have been doing this for several years now.

Now during the winter, when on duty, I carry the 33 in one of my jacket pockets (where you keep your hands warm). Serves as my BUG and puts a weapon in my hand when I have them in my jacket pockets due to the cold.

I just recently had occasion to grab my G26 without time to put the holster (Galco pancake) on so I reluctantly dropped it in the cargo pocket of my pants. I was only outside long enough to see that a situation at the neighbors was not going to spill over but darn that little bugger is heavy. While it fit, it looked like I had a bag of marbles, a half brick or a gun in my pocket just from the sag and the way the pocket moved from the weight when I walked. Wouldn't want to do that all day.

I love my Glocks but would never, ever pocket carry one. At least get a pocket sheath and be careful. If you shove your hand in your pocket not thinking, and yank our Glock, you could hear a loud noise.

Is that a glock in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?

The concept of "pocket carry" seems un-safe to me.

Especially with a Glock's trigger. I could see getting away with it with a long trigger like the LCP. Even then, I'd want a minimalist pocket holster.

I've tried it before, and yes, it is uncomfortable. It's far too heavy to carry in the pocket and it's too blocky. If you feel that you'd like to be able to pocket carry, I think a small, hamerless revolver is better suited to this role.

I am the proud owner of a g27 and can tell you that, yes, I've pocket carried on numerous occasions but will admit that its a bit much. If you intend to carry in this method I would strongly suggest getting a pocket holster. It makes pocket carry a little easier and hides the outline of the pistol itself while in the pocket. Remember, a handgun should be comforting, not comfortable...

I pocket carried my 26 today in a Uncle Mikes holster. Hardly ever do it, but its safe to me.

I carry the 26 in the front pockets of my pants. My pockets are a slightly deeper, which I believe helps, and with a tight belt; I have no problems with carrying the pistol in a Mika Holster. It is a bit bulky, but with my checkbook in the other pocket; no one really notices.

It's like carrying a brick in your pocket but it's doable if you have big pockets, particularly cargo pockets. I tried it and didn't like it in the upper front pocket. I tried it in a cargo pocket but with every step the gun would hit my leg and after a lot of walking that gets annoying. I tried putting a folded towel between my leg and the gun, it didn't help much. I finally settled on a thin IWB holster.

Now I'm considering possibly a Kahr CM9/40 for pocket carry.

I carry it sometimes in a Nemesis holster. No big deal if it's a big square pocket. On my motorcycle when it's cold and I wear my 1 piece riding suit I put it in the thigh pocket as well.

I have an ankle rig for my g26, it's too big for pocket carry for me.

I carry a 26 daily at work in my front pocket as a bug (nemesis holster.) I never carry it as a primary this way.

Doable but depends on your build and apparel of the day. Lose cargo shorts possibly but tight jeans won't hide that block frame. My 38 snubbie hides better in my pants pocket but that's just me, YMMV.
