Anyone know much about an EAA Witness 45acp?

Don't know much about them other than being a CZ clone. Found one locally for $420 new with one 10rd mag. Are they worth considering?

The EAA is a great gun for the price. Yes, it's worth considering.
Spent brass to me is like the ring to Gollum "We wants it, we needs it. Must have the precious"

I've had one for about 12 years. It has extra top ends in .22 and 10mm. It's big and heavy but very soft shooting and accurate

I have a Springfield P9 which I think was made by Tanfoglio (sp?) and I think they may be the same folks who make the gun for EAA. Mine has been fine although I admit I do not have more than a couple thousand rounds through it since it was new.
I never talked to anyone who had to fire their gun who said "I wished I had the smaller gun and fewer rounds with me" Just because you find a hundred people who agree with you on the internet does not mean you're right.

I don't think they're quite on par with CZ, but they are solid guns.

Do it. I own a 10mm model, and its run like a champ. No feed issues, cracked slides, or horror stories of my own to add. Can't get much better then a combination of CZ Ergos, Italian beauty, and .45 /10mm power in the same gun.

I had two. A steel compact and a plastic compact.

The steel was a good gun. Inexpensive, reliable and accurate.
The plastic frame was dangerous. When fired the frame would flex outward pushing out the take-down pin.

I gave the steel gun to a friend. He still has it, still likes it and we shoot it once in a while.

EAA is one of the worst companies I've ever dealt with and I'm pretty easy going. Because of that I won't own another EAA gun.

For a CZ clone...they are pretty good IMO.

I've never heard anyone that I know that has an EEA complain one bit about anything except the weight of their old stainless models. The ones that I have actually shot (9mm &10mm) are indeed good shooters.

Magazines aren't that easy to get locally but I have been lead to understand they can be a bit pricey when you find them. I don't know so much about finding a mag on line...I never tried.

Short version...for the right price I certainly would consider one in a .45ACP version. I see no down side for me personally.

If you get it then I suggest you get spare magazines at Henning.

Get the Megar Magazines as they are much better than the magazines EAA sells.
