It will be interesting to compare his treatment to that of the left wing reporter with the hi-cap mag. Both committed the same offense.
I do object to the manner of the arrest, there was no need for a "SWAT" exercise, an officer should have been able to make the arrest just as on any other minor crime.

Did you read the news article and see the nature of the charges?

He seems to be something of a professional activist.

1) Drugs = stupid

2) Drugs + guns = stupid recklessly endangering self and others

3) Drugs + guns + YouTube = attention whoring stupid recklessly endangering self and others

4) Drugs + guns + youtube + activism = stupid attention seeking *****hole giving sensible gun owners a bad name and the gun grabbers yet more examples to further their cause

He got what he asked for, now he will have his day in court. I do not understand the drugs however, especially when you are going high profile and trying to illicit a response..... stupid is as stupid does.

I'm not a big conspiracy theorist, but it doesn't seem outside the realm of possibility that those mushrooms could have been brought into the house and planted during the course of a five hour search. Pretty simple, standard set-up stuff.

My thought, too.

I believe I also stated in another thread how dumb I thought it was to videotape yourself committing four federal felonies.

I really don't understand this.

Some guy decides "I have not protested, gotten media attention for couple weeks. WHAT CAN I DO TODAY to get noticed?"

Then he openly commits crimes and is even more stupid when caught. But he got ATTENTION

Looks like he is getting the fight he asked for. A second ammendment fight. I do not see the NRA stepping in to help him.

According to the article he has roommates. The drugs my not have been his. It will be interesting to see if the drug charge sticks.

I'd be pi$$ed if I was his roommate.

“We were expecting this. We were expecting the government to raid our house,” Darrell Young, Kokesh’s roommate, told WRC-TV (Channel 4).

If this statedment is true, then they are idiots. Why was the gun still there and the drugs.

Some people think it is odd or wrong that a tactical team is used to arrest an armed suspect. Then there are the people who have actually effected arrests of armed suspects.

This is perhaps another clue as to why some may have felt it was appropriate to utilize a SWAT team.
