Why would it stop? Mainstream media won't talk about it. One cannot discuss it on any mainstream forums. And one cannot take any action against it.

Many here, for example, will become agitated that it's even suggested.

But the important thing is that we all feel good that we belong to the mainstream political group-think on such issues and that we quickly close ranks on anyone suggesting otherwise.

what damned good does that do? so they spend a year or 2 getting room and board, air conditioning, educations, cross training with other criminally inclined individuals, and earning "street cred" so they can advance up the food chain in their own circles, and it's all on our dime.

i don't know why we still call it the justice system, there really isn't any justice in it anymore.

I posted this in another thread just a few minutes ago. I think it goes along with what you're talking about pretty well.

A few here and there are actually sentenced to some serious time. This guy will be ~60 the next time he walks the streets. We just need to get more like him away. http://www.atf.gov/press/releases/20...d-robbery.html

People who don't carry haven't been in the right places yet. The first time they have an "oh ****" moment they will start carrying, if they survive.

Please tell me you guys don't think this kind of crime is new or different. The only thing that has changed is that thanks to the Internet, the entire world can know about a crime within minutes, where 20 years ago it would've been Page 14 news and only in that city.

Yeah I agree, but understand that when you protect yourself, you will get hung for it. Look what's happening to Zimmerman in Florida.

No, the type of crime is not new at all. I don't even think the sense of entitlement in some segments of the socio-economic spectrum is new.

I do think that now thanks to the Internet a whole bunch of people are getting to see what these crimes look like instead of it being buried on page fourteen. Which is good.

The more people who see this kind of crap the better. A few who see it, even among the plushed ass, lily white liberal, survivor's guilt, self hating types, will wake up and realize it's not Mr. Rogers' neighborhood out there. It's not Mad Max either, but some neighborhoods are probably leaning that way.

It isn't new, but the number of incidents seems to be on the rise.
