Man I hate hearing this. He was one of the few good humans. God bless his family and God rest his soul.

Okie was one in a million, I've been on quite a few message boards and haven't come across or ever plan to come across anyone like Okie ever again. It's all text and electrons, but after being around and reading his post, you knew without a doubt, he had a good heart. I'll miss him a lot.

that man never had a cross word for anybody no matter how they came at him. he was always supportive, or at least civil.

this is just flat out unfair! i don't like anybody and even i liked okie.

He didn't post great revelations, he wasn't a genious, he didn't make a lot of money or change the world. He just had a kind heart, and it showed in his posts. He had a kind and encouraging word for everyone.

Thats what made him special though! The fact that he would rather hurt himself than someone elses feelings, that was just Mark. I honestly think that GT has lost more than a member, I dont think it will ever be the same, almost like a piece of the soul of this place has been cut out.

That's exactly what made him special. I can't think of a better way to remember a person than to think they were good and kind.

I cannot imaging a more fitting memorial for Okie. This says it all. We will miss you.

This.

He was a good man with a great heart, and we are all lessened with his passing.

How sad. Had private convos with him a couple times. He seemed like a genuinely good person.

It was often clear that life had not been and often was not easy for him, and sometimes he might suggest that was not a perfect person... But Mark sure worked hard to make sure that his presence here was always pleasant and uplifting. Many of us benefited from that.

I was fortunate to have met him. Between my lurking and registered history, I've been here for over a decade, and I've known many regulars who come and go, but okie was a constant presence. I noticed his absence, and I'm sad to know that he has moved on permanently

I may buy something camo tomorrow.

In the short time that I knew him on this forum, I could tell he was a great person. So sad that he is gone now. What is uplifting to me though, was the outpouring of concern for okie when he went missing for a few days. Really showed me that there a lot of other good people out there as well. I'm still a little sad about the bad news and how fast it all happned. Anyways thanks for the laughs and Rest In Peace Mark...

When ohub showed me the last comment from Kevin in the latest brief I knew exactly who it was just by that. What a sad day. I didn't know him as well as others but I certainly knew him and talked to him somewhat regularly on gt. He was such a wonderful person who never had a bad word to say about anyone. God called home an angel today. I don't pray often but I certainly did after reading this. The world is a better place because of okie and people like him. May we all strive daily to be more like him. RIP friend. You will be missed.
