I have a 1006, a 1066, a Glock 20 and a Ruger GP100 3 inch custom revolver chambered in 10mm. It is a fun round and I would like to get a 29 someday soon.

I carry a Glock 29 Gen 3. Only mod is Pearce grip extensions. This is my first 10mm, but now I'm really wanting a G20 Gen 4, but my wife would kill me. They had a used, but looked brand new, G20 Gen 3 at the local FFL when I picked up my G29 recently, I really wanted it.

As far as 10mm hard to find, I have bought about 350 rounds in the last month w/o problems. Sometimes you have to wait until things are in stock, but you can always find something if you just want to shoot. It is a little pricey though. Gunbot is listing plenty of 10mm from Prvi, Remington, Winchester, Hornady, Blazer, Buffalo Bore, etc... in stock right now, but I usually wait until I see something that is a decent deal.

G20 gen 2 and gen 3

Saw the gen 3 last week, and it was like a puppy in the window.

EDC G29 with a Pearce grip extension. Love it. Gotta get a G20 one of these days.

No semi-auto 10mm, but I do own a S&W 610 revolver with the 4" barrel. One of my favorites in the safe!

G20 with 6" aftermarket barrel so I can load my own rounds, Carry it for Black Bear protection. Never shot a Black Bear with it but it gives me confidence to walk in Bear country. If a Bear launched a surprise charge from 40 yards ... he'd most likely be on me before I could draw ... but they seem to sense I'm not afraid and stay clear ... I make noise in the bush so they know the bipedal is coming.

That would be a nice one to have too, I got the N frame itch.

Thank you sir. You have quite a few yourself that I wouldn't mine having, especially the Bren. I was a little disappointed that the new ones fell through. I don't guess anyone from Vltor ever talks about those now. I think the Bren sort of has a bit of a curse over it

Yeah, Vltor was really disappointing in the way they handled that whole thing.

The Bren Ten was a cool pistol.

Had a Colt Delta Elite in 1987. Bought a 1006 in 1990 and still have it. Picked up a G20 in 2006. I reload 10mm

test firing bullets from new mold (lee 175 grain TC 6 cavity) 10 shot group shot offhand carefully fired from about 100 ft.
gen 3 glock 20 stock barrel

general accuracy/function/etc actual weight 180ish grain cast wheel weight bullets with 9.5 grains of blue dot.

recovered 8 out of 10 bullets. they were all lodged in the 4th pt deck board, fifth board untouched. due to some extreme board breakage 2 bullets got away.

gun functioned correctly. shot pretty straight. recovered all cases all are fine. recoil like factory target loads.

btw boards stacked up and taped together are a decent quick cheap bullet catch. these pt deck boards worked something dandy but kd works pretty ok too.

G29 Gen3. Love it, carried it CCW for a while. Wish it was cheaper to shoot.

I have owned a 20 and my cousin owned a Witness 10mm.

I liked them both. The Witness, I don't know what kind of durability it has, but the accuracy and shootability of it are both off the charts.

I got rid of my 10mm GLOCK just because I live in an area where the 10mm is kind of hard to shop for. If you buy most commercial loads that aren't Winchester Silver Tips (if they even make those anymore), you aren't getting legit 10mm. Now, I don't handload. I don't order by email. I just would rather have calibers that I can easily keep fed.

Yeah, the mainstream 10 factory ammo is pretty much just loaded at 40S&W power levels. You need to handload or buy from smaller boutique companies, such as Underwood, Doubletap, or Buffalo Bore to see its full potential. Cor-bon 10mm was always pretty hot too.

I have a Glock 20 and I love it. It is my non-concealed carry pistol of choice. High capacity and about as powerful a round as you can get in a semi-auto. I carry mine while hiking/hunting. As far as ammo, it has become quite expensive, but I have been able to find it regularly throughout the latest ammo shortage. There are some advantages to shooting a not-so-popular cartridge.

The problem with the Bren Ten is that no established gun manufacturer has taken on the project.

To build a Bren Ten 10mm with the reliability expected of a modern pistol , there needs to be a large base of engineering and manufacturing know how AND the capital necessary to test the gun to satisfactory levels.

So far, only smaller gun companies and startups have taken on making them. Thus market failure is assured from the get-go.It would be no different if Cessna, a mid size civil aviation firm, tried to build the NASA Space Shuttle all by themselves. They'd go bankrupt trying.

For the Bren Ten to be an engineering success, a major firm like Sig Sauer, Smith and Wesson, or Beretta would need to take it on-and there's no rational commercial reason why a company would sink the capital required to bring a Bren Ten to market today. 10mm isn't that popular of a round, Tanfoglio already makes a gun conceptually identical to the Bren Ten at the street price of $550, and a heavy steel frame 10mm is the exact opposite of what modern gun owners want-which is a light, polymer framed striker fired carry pistol.

I agree. My Elite Pro Witness 10MM may not be a Bren Ten, but at $900 with Megar K2 Magazines that work is all I need.

That wouldn't surprise me in the least. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if some of that hot 40S&W is more powerful than some factory 10mm.

I use the Underwood which always comes in at the advertised speeds, unlike some of the others which are underperformers.
I'm going to sell one of my G29SF models with less than 100 rounds through it. I found an OD one that I just had to have.
