S&w 1076?

A local shop has a mint example for $600 with 2 mags. They seem to be a bit more on gb. I have missed owning a 10mm & planned on a delta elite eventually but i like "older" smith autos alot. What do you guys think? A good buy?

In mint condition with two mags at $600 that would be a good to excellent buy around where I live.

See if they'll let you field strip it first to check just how "minty" the internals really are. Do the mags have the white followers? Those were the last factory upgrades.

But $600 for a S&W 1076 in that condition is a "jump-on-it-now" deal. The 10mm S&Ws are getting harder to find even in average condition and are generally much pricier, as much as $200-$250 more.

Good Luck.

That's a good $200 less than I found on any in my shopping.

I just picked up a 1006 with original box but only one mag and in excellent shape (but with Hogue grip instead of original grip) for $500 OTD.

Agreed with a disassembly before buying. The originals had some spalling issues (cousin of mine had one, and I knew a couple FBI agents old enough to have been issued 10mm).

That's an amazing price, fnfalman. Have you looked at what those are selling for on Gunbroker lately?

I have a 1006 myself and love it.
