Glock 19 Gen 2 Good Deal?

I have the chance to get a decent Gen 2 19 for $430 OTD.
Holster wear is all I can see without breaking it down completely. May need small replacement parts but otherwise sweet.Good deal? never had a Gen 2 19.

a little on the high side i'd say. depends on condition. police trade-in 19s used to be 349-399 a year ago.

I'd grab it (for $400.00 offer them that, they'll probably take it)
It will be a much better deal than taking a chance on a generation 4.
I have a glock17 gen.3 that has been problem free but I wouldn't chance a gen.4.

I don't know that I would unless it has extras. Gun w/1 mag, probably no.

I can still get them for $379/1 mag locally. So it's a toss up.

If you can get it $400 OTD buy it. And be careful about what new parts you may put in it.

Gen 2 is not my fav (gen 3 is) but I wouldn't go above $400 as well.

Offer them $375, or make them throw in an extra mag or 2.

Does it have night sights? Are they dead?

I like the third generation versions better and like either a G26 or G34 better than a G19. But I could seem myself offering 375 for it, figuring if I did not like it I could probably get that back or close to it. If I wanted one I could see myself doing 400. If I really wanted it I could see the 430 as life seems short. Over the years I think alot more about the guns I passed on the the ones I paid fifty more than I probably should have.

I paid a bit more than 400, if I recall, for a Model 27 three and half inch barrel, back when a good price would have been a bit less than 400. Now that really does not bother me at all.

The G19 was the #1 pick in a recent poll on this forum.

I agree on $400 as a fair price.

Well I found a LNIB Gen 3 17 for $435
Could'nt pass on this one. I have and cc my 36
so 17 it is and will carry this one on occasions and have a fun range toy. 17 not much harder to conceal than a 19. I have buddies who cc a fs Beretta 92. The 17 will fill the role of when the SHTF pistol

About a yr ago, I gave $600 for a Gen 2 G19 in perfect
condition and a Taurus Stainless Public Defender. Based
on that, it's a little high, but, I'd do it. The Gen 2 G19 is
a great little gun. I like the feel better than my 3 Gen 3's,
a 36, 31 and a 33. 16 rounds in a very concealable pkg.

I bought a Gen 2 G 19 when it was new. It's my EDC, and it's been trouble free. Several small internals replaced free by the armorer at a GSSF a couple of years ago, but otherwise it's just like it came out of the box.
