Finally got a Glock 30sf

A couple years ago, I bought my first glock, a GEN3 22. A few weeks later, I bought my second glock, a GEN3 36.

I loved the 36....until I shot a friends 30...

Now don't get me wrong, I still love the 36, but I wanted a 30. Double stack, and a rail in case I wanted to get a light at a later date.

I kept putting off buying one (not sure why), until about two weeks ago, when I couldn't stand it any longer.

I went to a LGS as soon as they opened one Saturday morning and picked up the only GEN3 30sf they had in stock. This gun is my new love. I paired it with a Galco King tuk, and it is my new EDC. very comfortable to CC.

The only thing that I have done to it so far, is add an extended slide stop lever, and replaced the mag base plates.

I haven't had a chance to get out and shoot it yet. I was going to this weekend, but we've had some nasty weather. Maybe next weekend though.

Green

I am, in fact, green with ENVY. Still on my seemingly life-long quest for a 30SF or Gen4 30. Going to further explore the possibility of getting one from Glockmeister, as there are NONE to be had locally (E. TN). Gonna talk to some FFLs this week, to see what my cost will be, and if somebody can tell me for certain that Glockmeister has either the 30SF or the Gen 4 30 in stock.

I'll be damned if I know why I see all kinds of other NIB Glocks at stores, but not the 30's???

Let us have a range report on your new 30SF.

AK

Congrats! The Glock 30SF is the softest shooting .45 acp that I ever owned. It currently resides on my nite-stand.

I've been considering the G30 for a while but the only thing holding me back is the worry of getting my finger pinched between the mag and gun while shooting. I know, I know, man up, right?

Is this an issue with the G30? Or just internet rumor and lies?

Congrats, the only regret I have is that I didn't get one sooner. The G30 sf is one fine pistol, accurate and soft shooting for a compact .45 enjoy.

Congrats! Let us know how it shoots.

In my opinion, one should always shoot their handgun and get a good feel for it before they decide on any mods.

Got a new 30SF a couple of months ago. One of the most accurate weapons I have fired in my 35 Years as a LEO. The only problem I have is that the weapon sprays the ejected brass all over, some straight back into my forehead, some on top of my head, and occasionally to the right like it should be.

I have yet to handle a G30 Gen4. None of our LGS have had one. Gun shows either.

But what I really want is a Gen4 OD G30...

All this 30SF love is making me want one! I handled one alongside a 36 the other day in the BX on base. Even though the 30SF to me felt like it had a bigger grip, I liked the way it felt over the 36, and I don't have huge hands by any stretch. Haven't had the chance to shoot either of them, though, but I think the 30SF might be my next Glock.
