Aftermarket barrels for the Glock 30S?

Anyone making aftermarket barrels for the Glock 30S yet?

I believe Lonewolf used to make one for the 36....which would use the same barrel as the 30s.....since the 30s is basically a 36 slide on a 30 frame.

Aftermarket barrels for the G36 are the only options for the G30S currently (possibly forever). I have not read a report from anyone running an aftermarket barrel in the G30S. As mentioned above, Lone Wolf offers a G36 45ACP barrel and the other (foreign) supplier I'm aware for G36 barrels (native caliber and conversions) is IGB Austria.

I'm sure others will disagree, but I have over 1800rounds in the last 3 months in my 30s of 230gr lead boolits. The key is make sure they FIT (.452) and hard. I waterdrop range scrap or ww alloy. After a few mags there is a bit of leading in the throat, but it brushes right out. I usually clean it up after every range session. Takes a minute or two. Glock barrels do not like soft lead boolits.

I know thanks. Just a bit nervous after witnessing a friend's 17 go KABOOM a few years ago.

I shot lead in my G36 yesterday. Now, it was only 20 or 30 rounds so it is meaningless as an example but I was at the range to chronograph loads, not shoot mag dumps. Total round count was well north of 100 and the barrel was pristine!

Next time out, I'll shoot a couple of hundred at the action pistol range.

My brief experience with S&S Casting bullets (both 200 LSWC and 230 LRN) has been positive for both the G21SF and the G36. However, I did install a KKM barrel on the G21SF. I didn't need to, I just did it.

Try it and see! Shoot 20 or thirty, disassemble and inspect the gun. Try 50 or 60 more and look again. If you get to multiple hundred and you still don't see fouling, well, you probably don't need a new barrel.

I use the Lewis Lead Remover from Brownell's to look for lead. The flakes show up against the bronze screen - if there are any.

And, BTW, the 200 gr LSWC at 1.250" fed perfectly in my G36.

There's more to that story than lead fouling, I'll bet!
