For my pocket, Fisher Original Astronaut.

Lime green Dr. Grip with G2 blue gel refills. I've had this pen since they first come out. I have three other Dr. Grips but I use the lime the most.

My favorite is put away, a Parker 45, one year my grandfather gave it to me for my birthday. For daily use I picked up a pen at IMTS from the Index machine tools booth. When you sell two million dollar machine tools you can give away $40 pens.

http://calibanblog.wordpress.com/201...ballpoint-pen/

All metal, writes great, large ink cartridge, quiet click operation and very understated look, mine is grey laquer with a stainless steel clip.

I found this Embassy Pen very intriguing. Looks like it would survive a nuclear war.

Fisher Bullet Space Pen

About 4" long capped. Rides nicely in the front pocket. I hate not having a pen on me.

I have a Fisher Space Pen for certain applications and carry a Parker T-Ball S/S Jotter for dress but for everyday use I prefer Bic Stick throw aways . YMMV. tom.

Thanks You can get a good deal if you find one you like during their twice a year sale at one of their boutiques.

Waterman Carene series: lacquered brass, tapered body - great for improvised stabbing weapons for just in case terrorists were to want to hijack a plane that I'm on.

Black for elegance, of course.

Cross Classic Chrome Pen/Pencil set. Engraved with my initials and setup with fine point Black ink. We had to do all our arrest reports in black ink.

It can be slippery, yeah. The spring does feel weak sometimes, but it does the job. I click it a lot when I'm bored. My first AG7, I dropped it onto concrete and it broke and wouldn't retract any more! Had to get it replaced.

Only thing is the pen is a bit small to use a lot, so it can get uncomfortable.

I like Zebra F01 pens from Walmart because they have a steel body and don't break easy. They are cheap and fit the pen pockets in my uniform sleeve. I'm sure I have a few expensive pens I got as gifts but like expensive knives they don't work better so I don't use them.

I prefer the Zebra G-301, writes in field books very well (have to be careful not to smudge until it is dry) and makes great copies and scans.

I keep 3 in the survey rig, one in the vest and one in the book. I learned long ago licensed professionals are notorious pen thieves both man and woman, had several nice Cross pens vanish into thin air.
