I had a Wendy's cheeseburger for the first time in probably 5 or 6 years a couple days ago ... and it was SOOOOOO GOOOOD!!

I don't mean it was just good like the Wendy's cheeseburger I expected and have known since forever. I mean ... did they do something to improve them? Cuz it was MUCH better than I remember the usual Wendy's burgers being. It was just a single with everything but tomato ... but it was just super good. Fries were great too.

Krystal was my go-to when I was a security guard at the Daytona Hampton Inn during college

In-N-Out was awesome when I lived in LA (I also was fond of Del Taco)

Now living in the Midwest I really like Culver's and Go Chicken Go.

In-N-Out Burger. They only make burgers and they are tasty. Lines are always long but they are quick.

El Pollo Loco. You can actually eat healthy (but you don't have to).

For fries - Fatburger.

I like Sonic and Chic Fil A for a national chain but my all time favorite fast food is a local chain called Pals.. The food is great (especially the cheddar rounds and sweet tea) and the service is super quick.

Saw a lot of Captain Ds OKs. I have passed the local one a thousand times but based on the thread and the fact I had a $2 off coupon I tried it today. Got the seafood platter. Not gourmet obviously but definitely OK. Thx.

As for my favorites I like b bops or tasty tacos which are both central Iowa local joints. National chains gotta be five guys white castle Wendy's or Hardee's. Though, I almost never eat fast food anymore. I'm down 50lbs as a result though!

A lot of people may not like them as you say but they sure do eat there enough. Taco Bell would be mine. Variety, pricing, fast service (McDonald's lost that and Burger King never had it) and generally, the quality is decent and static considering what it is they are serving.
