An enlightened zeal for the energy and efficiency of government will be stigmatized as the offspring of a temper fond of despotic power and hostile to the principles of liberty.

Best fast-food burger would be Wendy's. Steak n Shake and their frisco melt is a close second.

McDonalds is usually a double cheeseburger and a sweet tea when on the run somewhere. Hardee's for breakfast although McDonald's coffee is much better.

Rallys/Checkers would be my first choice usually. Then Hardees. Sometimes a White Castle if I am around one.

Rally's, Steak N Shake, Hardee's, Chic-Fil-A, 5 Guys, Popeye's, Firehouse Subs. Yeah, I can be a bit of a glutton at times. Also, the best wings I've ever had were also some of the fastest, served by a small chain called Wings Over and if you have one nearby, Schoop's is like SNS turned up to 11.

wren, I've had Runza! Delicious! I go there when I head to the Sidney Cabela's.

I'm off fast food for a few months to get my health back in check, but I love the stuff so much.

5 Guys Burgers n' Fries
Johnny Rocket's
Taco Johns

Taco Bell doesn't do it for me unless I'm drunk, and I don't do Burger King a ton either, though a Double Whopper and loaded tater tots are beautiful when you're drunk.

Also, B-Bops - local Iowa chain of only a few locations

Chic fil a #8 combo with a side salad instead of fries with a large iced tea. Always friendly. Don't look up the ingredients. Damn! Second would be McDonald's Angus Deluxe and tea. Never been sick from those two. I like Wendy's but their food gives me the nasty sheets for some unknown reason. So does Five Guys and their burgers rock! Subway is hit or miss. Boston Market is ok too. BK once in a while.

I like McDonald's Egg McMuffin's. Can't stand their coffee though so I rarely make two stops in the morning. Coffee is more important.

Taco Time...national? sort of excellent food. Much better than Taco Bell.

Favorite fast food place of late though is a local Mexican fast food restaurant called Albertos. I can get a chile verde burrito for $5.00 that's big enough for two meals...and tasty enough to devour in one yumm

I can find something to stomach at any of them if I have to (on long travels, etc.) but I really don't like it.

The only large chain I think is ok is Popeyes.

There's a local taco chain that is delicious, though. Taco Gringo.

Hoagies/subs Firehouse for hot ones and Jimmy John's for cold. Burgers Steak-N-Shake and Red Robins. Chicken KFC. Tacos Taco Bell. The rest don't fit into fast food but chain Mexican my favorite is Don Pablo's and chain breakfast is Cracker Barrel. . YMMV. tom.

I like a sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit from McDonald's once a month or so.

If I need to poop I like a 6 piece nugget. Best laxative evah. (serious.)

Other than that I don't eat at them.

If we're talking medium fast, I like the pancakes at Cracker Barrel.

That's about it.

My brother eats Taco Bell multiple times a week. Somehow he is still skinny as a rail.
