Guide rod replacement for G20

I have a Gen II Glock 20 that has a guide rod spring assembly that is not captured. It's a real pain to reinstall - I had to make a simple tool to install it.

The question is: are the guide rod assemblies for the Glock 20 and Glock 21 the same? From what I have seen on parts lists the 20 and 21 are listed at the same time and probably the same for power and size.

I have a spare unused Glock 21 guide rod spring assembly I could use in the Glock 20.

Thanks.

Yup, they're the same.

If you are still using the same spring that came with your older Gen 2 G20, then it really needs to be replaced anyway. The Glock factory recommends replacement every 3000 rounds for all single recoil springs. Yes - use your spare G21 captured spring. Glock uses identical recoil spring assemblies for the G20 and G21.
