Looking for Berkey dealer. Suggestions?

I am looking to get a Berkey Imperial this week. There are a lot of dealers on the web, including Amazon (I am an Amazon Prime member, so shipping is free).

I was wondering if anyone has a preferred dealer, good service, freebies, etc. Let me know.

Thanks.

Last one I bought was from an ebay seller called 'directive21', but that was just the 'big' and not the 'imperial'; and it was 2-3 years ago as well. Don't know if they're among the best nowadays or not.

Biggest recommendation I'd make (other than spare elements, obviously) it to get the sight-glass spigot. I didn't buy one initially for the first berkey we bought, but did get one soon after. It makes a world of difference as far as ease of use.

The difference is just in size, I think. I am not really looking at FleaBay, unless the deal is good. Usually they kill on shipping.

Thanks for the heads up on the spigot. I notice that Amazon has them bundled with extra filters for forty-something dollars.

We don't have an Imperial. We have a "Big".

But we bought from the owner of Frugal Squirrel's forum.. Prices are about average, shipping was quick (back then) and the owner runs a good forum. Kind of a paying it back thing for us.

Pretty good. I always want for a sale and buy some of their big packs. You also get points which you can redeem for savings later on and they have a pretty good newsletter full of tips that come in regularly via email. The only thing they messed up on was an article about guns and survival, you can tell it was written by a guy who knows very little about guns.

safecastle.com sells them. I've only ever bought Mountain House from them, but I was very satisfied with the service. They are also a sponsor here.

Copy and paste into your browser.

This is the outfit from whom we purchased our Royal Berkey. If I have to drink water instead of Dr. Pepper, then I want it out of a berkey.

After doing some reading on Amazon regarding inferior elements from New Millennial I am concerned about inferior black elements slitting and leaking.

Has anyone experienced this?
