I replaced my plastic sights with steel OEM sights - not sure if that counts.

Otherwise, the mod I like the most is replacing the grooved trigger for the smooth one.

Trigger connector. I've never been a fan of the factory Glock trigger pull. I can definitely live with the factory sights though.

My vote for the one mod goes to a more durable and capable sight system. That can range from steel sights to night sights to an RMR on a milled slide with co-witness BUIS.

I was practicing with my G19 carry rig yesterday and thought exactly the same thing. These guns are fantastic shooters right out of the box.

My competition Glock is a 34 with a bunch of mods, but my carry guns are all stock except for Ameriglo Operator sights and a light polish of the fire control system (25 cent trigger job).

I've done a lot of mods on glocks, including the complete robar pkg and I've glocks that are box stock. My carry is a g17c and the only mod I've done is a steel front sight. I like night sights but can't see the front sight in the day (older eyes). I love my robar g21 but still prefer the smaller grip and lighter weight of the g17. I keep changing things on my g34 but it is for competition. The thing I like about the steel front sight is it doesn't get deformed and I can see that white dot in bright or dim light, just not in the dArk.

Yeah, steel sights, night sights if it tickles your fancy.

Now if you have actual issues (BTF, striker issues, etc.) you may need to replace parts; but if everything works, steel sights and trigger time are all you need.

Agree. GEN 4 has perfected the grip issue on all previous GENs.

Quality NS - Final Answer

I agree with the consensus that a quality NS is the single best mod.

I have a variety of handguns from various manufacturers.
Upgrading the NS is usually the first thing I do with any new handgun.
