MUCH MUCH more heavily armed than our notionally-similar LCS vessels. Also slower, but missiles are fast so ships don't have to be, right?

What's with the hugely-bulbous underwater front end??? Seems more. . . endowed than most ships with bulbous underwater front ends.

Seems counter-intuitive doesn't it?
Many modern ships are designed that way, including some of the latest U.S. Navy ships and the Coast Guard's new NSC "Deepwater" class.

That design actually improves hydrodynamic efficiency in conjunction with hull stability for rough seas handling, while also providing space for sonar sensors.

That command bridge design is the first Russian naval ship bridge and command center I've seen that wasn't u-g-l-y.

Me too. I'm too lazy to type that into google instead of typing this reply. This seems faster and gives someone something to do. Google for a man, he gets an answer today. Teach a man to Google, and he'll be hooked on internet porn in 25 minutes.

A corvette (sometimes corvet) is a small, maneuverable, lightly armed warship, originally smaller than a frigate (2,000+ tons) and larger than a coastal patrol craft or fast attack craft (500 or fewer tons),[1] although many recent designs resemble frigates in size and role. During the Age of Sail, corvettes were smaller than frigates and larger than sloops-of-war, usually with a single gun deck.
Although almost all modern navies use ships smaller than frigates for coastal duty, not all of them use the term corvette (via Middle French, from a Dutch word corf, a type of boat[2]) or equivalent. The rank "corvette captain", equivalent in many navies to "lieutenant commander", derives from the name of this type of ship.

Ruh roh... Another country with an LCS look-alike that probably works better... And cheaper...

Cool looking ship. I cannot wait to see a pirate ship engage it.

This!

What's the closest-matched class of Ship that we have in our fleet, that one would be on, and comfortably go up against this Corvette? I'm guessing a Cruiser of some sort?

Destroyer.

Its really not designed for a stand up fight with a real ship. More for pirate/small area operations.

Cruisers are several vessel classes heavier the Corvettes.

The U.S. Cyclone Class on the light end a bit heavier would be the O.H. Perry class Frigates. The new Littoral Comabat Ships are under armed when compared to the new Russian 'Vettes.
