My Glock 19 is loaded with one in the pipe and a spare magazine next to it along with a Surefire flashlight next to it on my headboard. My wife's Walther PPQ is loaded on her side of the bed. They are both in those Gun Vault safe things. We each have Remington 870 tactical shotguns that are loaded but not chambered in the safe in my closet. Mine has a TLR-1 attached to the fore grip. My revolvers are loaded in the safe as well.

My bedside gun is also my carry/off duty weapon. It is loaded and chambered in a small safe

When I go to bed, my XDM 3.8 compact .45 comes out of my holster and I switch the 9 round mag out and put the 13 round in. The Fenix flashlight is on the nightstand alongside it and the Pomeranian is in her bed. The Doberman is downstairs for an early warning. I'm good.

Provides Secure Storage & Fast Access To Guns

Super-strong magnet holds any steel firearm in any position, even suspended upside down, for concealed storage under tables, in vehicles, on doors, under furniture—anywhere you need to store a gun for ready access. Easy to install, with two mounting holes for screws or nails, or use 3M double-sided tape. Works with most handguns, shotguns, and rifles under 10 lbs. Other useful items it holds include knives, magazines, shotguns, rifles, and tools. Plastic coated shell won’t mar or scratch gun surfaces.

Glock 19 full mag and hot

Its the first gun I will grab if I am awakened to strange noises in the night followed by the AR if the noises haven't already broken down my bedroom door.

Yes, but it has a better handle than a brick. (Glock haters, you hush now. Even a Glock is easier to hold than a brick).

Gen3 G22 with Insight M3X LED light attached, Meprolite night sights, magazine with +2 floorplate, one in the chamber, and 2 spare mags in my nightstand drawer. No small children in the house. I tried duct taping a 5 cell Maglite to a brick but found that it was to long to fit in my nightstand.

What?

First off, that post didn't "cumulate" anything. It's called an opinion and I'm not the only one that gave it. I personally don't give a damn what people do. I didn't bring the topic up. I gave an opinion and I'll stick to it. I don't expect others to care about my opinion, but I have no problem giving it. It's a public forum.

Got that, noob?

I actually go the revolver route for home defense.

I keep my Ruger Alaskan loaded with 45 Colt Blazers in my nightstand. The Blazers aren't all that hot. Power is similar to that of 45ACP.

I was referring to the P226 I keep bedside, but that's quite the piece you have at yours! Flying ashtrays? Nice! :D

If you have children at home, especially young children, I can understand that. My kids are grown and gone and my Glocks are loaded.

Yeah that'd definitely do it, Bac. Pretty sure I've seen pictures of said wheel gun.

That's exactly what I figured. The light 45 Colt rounds shouldn't be too much of an issue with over-penetration.

By the way, the Sig P226 is an awesome pistol.
