I have a prep-bag in the truck. It may or may not have Sub2K in it. Definitely has water and other supplies. If forced to hoof it home, I could do so just fine. If I just need it, I'm good to go there as well. None of it screams gun at all.

DW, as a prepper, wouldn't it make a lot more sense to have a 4x4 truck or SUV for if off-roading were required when SHTF?

I know of ways to get around the area by going all back woods trails. Avoiding the main roads as much as possible would be smart. I hate to break it to you, but your Sunfire wouldn't make it too far with the routes I have in mind ...

Got a Chevy blazer but It's not my every day driver,
i have no bug out plans, all my kit is geared to bugging in and getting home, I have nowhere to bug out to, I'd rather protect the home front...
Al this and get get my chops busted over a spelling mistake, that's where to food and ammo is located...

just curious Sheriff..

Actually it would be impossible to see from outside the vehicle unless you open the door. I would imagine the poster informs law enforcement of its presence before opening the door so there is no nasty surprise. That and he lives in Texas so it's probably assumed every truck has at least one gun in it....

The stuff in the trunk I agree with...

The large amounts of gun stickers I do not agree with. I am all about staying low key and not attracting attention to myself when I am out in public.

Those stickers say "hey I probably have guns and gear in the trunk" so if you case the owner for a few days and learn when he is gone for long periods of time...this is the car to break into.

Gun stickers on your car...not a good prepper habit personally.

I keep a Sig 228 as my dedicated truck gun, and a few mags for most of my guns in there too. As a frequent visitor to the local state park, a long gun just isn't practical most of the time.

I might of....a time or twice, grabbed my AR, and rode around the ghetto in Benton Harbor MI. in my Mustang "I am Legend" style.

Maybe.

Stupidly.

Fun as hell though.

This is Texas, where we can carry loaded long guns and handguns in the vehicles without a license.
Texas LEO's don't go all crazy at the sight of a gun.

Actually several years ago I was stopped for speeding on the way home from a good friend's funeral.
I was feeling really bad and when the Trooper came up to the door I asked him if I could get out of the car.

As I stood up I handed the Trooper my DL and CHL and informed him, "I don't have a gun on me but I do in the car".
He said, "Like the one by the seat?".
I said, "Yes, that's one of them".

He gave me a (no cost) warning ticket for speeding.
