Morons. You can't ban 3D printers for guns without banning all 3D printers. Of course the low information types that would read ABC News are voting to ban them.

Just ban everything .... that's the mentality.

I'm embarrassed to have these people riding along with me, through life ....

When are Zip guns going to be illegal???

If you know what to look for in a hardware store, you can make a nice Zip gun.

No one has ever died from a 3-D printed gun but some people are so eager to give up their freedom for an ounce of perceived safety. If that poll had been to ban heat seeking bullets people would vote to ban them.

What I expect to see is some kind of registration and restrictions of 3D printers... seriously.

Copying machines of any sort are a natural enemy of a Communist government.

In the old days of the Soviet Union, we had to register typewriters. When you bought a typewriter, they typed a test page and kept it in the records - so they could track you down later if you decide to make a few copies of the "Animal Farm".

Photocopiers received even more strict treatment. You couldn't even own one personally. A copier was to be kept in a special secure room with bars on the windows and locks on the door. You had to get a special permission and sign in to use the copier. The room was to be locked and sealed every night.

By the dawn of the personal computer era, the Soviet Union was pretty much dead. But in their last dying breath, the government tried to regulate color printers with an iron fist. Of course people just laughed at them at that point.
