LEOSA petition

https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/pet...zines/ptJ1jtkT

Dont know if this was posted here or not. Also if you could pass it to other law enforcement sites/places.

It wants to change LEOSA/218 to not limit what magazines are carried in what states, as some places go 7 rounds. Hate to see a Ret Officers only arrest to be having a 8 round magazine in a 7 round state...

Yeah, but that was only because the troll KevinFACE took a threadcrap in it, not because of the petition.

Still, it is considered less than ideal form to re-open Admin closed threads unless the issue has been cleared with Admin prior.

Petitions to the White House are pointless in any instance or cause where legislation is proposed for amendment. The place for this issue is in Congress, where legislation is supposed to begin.

The equipment and qualification standards for LEOSA should be those that are the least restrictive, not the most restrictive. Next it'll be "that" state will restrict +P ammo.

Or make it a national standard, such as whatever the FBI/DEA/DOJ or DHS allows, LEOSA should follow. Just make sure the individual LEOs qualify with same.

Yes, yes, yes, and yes, I did ask Eric, et al to reopen the topic for discussion. I have not yet received an answer. So, if this thread is closed, you'll, we'll know the answer was, "No."

Yea, it seems rather dumb the White House would make a web site to listen to the people when we should just let Congress do their thing.
