Unforgiven is without a doubt the best western ever made.

There are a lot of others I like a lot. Outlaw Josey Wales is probably my next most favorite. It certainly has the most entertainment value.

Amazing considering the competition that Clint Eastwood made both. He is one hell of a movie maker (leaving aside his exceptional acting talents).

A toss-up between The Outlaw Josey Wales and Tombstone, with High Plains Drifter following close behind.

Cowboys, Indians, gunslingers, samurais, hot chick...what's not to like?

Good one!

I have to go with The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.

I watched it again the other night

The Good The Bad The Ugly. Long and some over the top stuff in it but at the end when Blondie is riding off you feel like you wish you were riding with him instead of going back to the modern world. The more you watch it the better it gets. Like listening to a Pink Floyd song.

There are a lot of good movies in this list and I've seen all but 3. I think I'm going to skip Brokeback Mountain and Feivel Goes West but I am going to try to dig up Vadelz is Coming.

I didn't think anyone would mention that one!

That is my favorite movie of all time! Not as funny as Blazing Saddles, but better music and hilarious in all the right ways...

Chato's Land -- Charles Bronson says about three words in the movie if I recall but it is one of his best roles.

The Professionals - Good western too.

EZ!

Lonesome Dove.... Yes, a miniseries but come on Robert Duvall, Diane Lane, Tommy Lee Jones at their best.

Great story. Classic.
