And I feel deeply for them. I'll keep it alive. It shoots really soft with game loads, and I can dump the tube on target at 10 yards before the first shell hits the ground. It's muh favorite ^_^

Yup, was messin around with it one day, when I measured off the legal length. While I was funnin with it, I wondered how it would look, short as possible. I've seen guys move the gas-block and shorten the gas tube and rod, I wouldn't go that far, though.

Thanks; it's a Remington-Rand, made in 1945 and unissued; it was sold as surplus in the early 1950's, at which time it had maybe 50 rounds put through it (it appears to be unshot, but I think someone tried it out) and then it was wrapped in an oil cloth and stored until 2006, when it's owner died; the man who inherited the collection in 2006 simply stored it (and all the other guns in the collection ) until he sold the entire collection to someone I know last year; that person called me, and I immediately bought it from him;

It's all original, right down to the final arsenal mark that's just below the slide on the right rear of the frame.....

It's a time capsule gun, from 1945 to today, just as it came from the factory.

Having had and used a lot of gee whiz kind of firearms, sometimes it is nice to go back to simple. This is a H&R Topper 12 ga that I bought real cheap at a garage sale and cut down the barrel. I've since gotten a 20ga and 357 mag bbl for it. I don't have $100 in it, and that includes the gun, the three barrels or the pouch.

Simple to use, takes down with a dime. The pouch will hold twenty 12 ga shells or twenty seven 20ga shells or about 100 357 mags. I've since added a clamp on fiber optic sight to it.

It is brutal to shoot with 12ga. Not too bad with 20s but a lot of fun with .38s and 357s.

With the 20 ga bbl mounted.

I always thought the 44 Auto Mag was one of the coolest looking handguns of all time.
