something about 6's

Just picked up my second glock. A gen 3 36 to go with my 26.

Test fire date of 4/19/13

I was going to hold out and look for a new 30s but this 36 was in stock and calling my name for a week . I really wanted a gen4 for the back straps but that just means its time to start saving.

I decided if it was there today it was mine. Sure enough it took a ride home with me.

Congrats on the 36, it will be interesting to see if you have fte's with range ammo as others including myself have reported here on GT, hopefully you won't.

I was able to solve my fte problem by swapping out the LCI extractor with the non LCI version.

mine's been flawless with full power ammo. if its light ammo you tend to get some brass to the head, or FTE but there is nothing wrong with the gun, it just likes stout ammo. same with my little kahr 40, full power loads are 100%. i love the 36, to me its the best carry glock out there. i have/had the 19, 17, 26 and 27 but the 36 is my favorite. enjoy.

Mine was flawless with full power SD loads right from the get go also. To my way of thinking, range ammo isn't enough less powerful to be able to cause fte's otherwise why would just changing the extractor solve the problem?

dont know, but when i load light (my nature) i can get brass to the head and some fte's, but have never had either when i load to near max. just my experience. with factory SD loads its great and sends the brass nicely away from me. i have some lighter loads that i loaded for a 1911 i had and i am using them up for practice and will be glad when they are gone, i loaded too many of them. my kahr pm 40 was problematic too until i loaded it up with full power loads. oddly enough all my glock 9mm seem to love a bit lighter load. my 27 burped once in a while but never with factory SD loads. i dont have any scientific reason it has just worked for me.

Congrats on the 36. I love mine too. Great minds think alike as I also have the 26. Both reliable, fun to shoot guns.

Congrats on your G36. Is that your CCW now? The .45 ACP seven shots rock!

I'm still carrying the 26. I have not got a good holster for the 36 and I can not seem to find really good ccw ammo for it. I have some PMC jhp 185 grain in it now . Still looking for some true ccw ammo

I'm using the Versacarry for both my 36 and 27 and AFAIC there's nothing better and I've tried many others over the years. Not good for range use though.

Glock 36 shoots like a dream .

56 rounds down range and I'm in love.

Wish I had time and cash for more.
