VT and NH are OC states. No problems here.

We tried. HB700 died in committee AGAIN thanks to Joe Pickett. It passed 6-1 in committee, but as the chair he would not release it to Calendars. He was appointed there by Joe Strauss for the express intent of killing gun bills. He has done this for the last two sessions. It's really starting to piss me off. Open carry would pass by better than 70% per the polling. It sucks.

Texas voters can't boot him out? You guys got rid of Ann Richards after she stonewalled a gun bill.

Still enough democrats left to give Joe Strauss power. Joe Strauss put Joe Pickett as lead of that committee just to stop things like this.

He's an appointee from what I understand. Have to get the person that appointed him and let the trickle down work, and to do that, have to get him on the next election.

As for Ann Richards, she didn't just stonewall a bill, she blatantly defied CHL in Texas, declaring that as long as she was governor, there would be no CHL law in TX. She was not re-elected the next go round.
