Which Glock should I get next?

First off, I am absolutely in love with my new Gen 4 17. It is my second glock. My first was a Gen 4 23 that I loved, but I eliminated 40 caliber from my pistols. Dwindled them down to 9 and 45. So right now I only have 3 pistols. A full size Ruger 1911, A Springfield XDS that I carry, and my 17. I have an abundance of 9mm right now, but not much 45. I'm thinking of adding a 26 to my arsenal because of my ammo situation plus it Would give me another carry option. It only seems natural, right? Or should I get a full size and go with a 21? I'm eyeballing a fde Gen 4 26 to go with my 17. It just seems like they'd be a happy pair!

My vote, based on what you've told us, would be for the 26. Either way, you can't go wrong!

As soon as he gets the G26, he'll be looking at the G19 for sure.

I recently sold my 19 and picked up a 30, couldn't be happier!!!!!

I'm sure you'll get answers all over the place but IMO and I'm learning quick, the 30 is a hell of a package!!

The G26 is alot more fun at the range than is the enjoyment of trying to conceal a full size pistol under a relatively tight shirt.

26 or 19 for sure. I'd normally say 19 but since you have the 17 I'd go for the 26 for something the carry. They shoot great.

How you describe it get the 26.

For me I would get a 19. I'm not a huge fan of the subs.

x2.

Having said that, if you aren't sure don't let the money burn a whole in your pocket. At some point you'll come across a must have.

I went solely with the 9MM a few years back due to economics. I am not a fan of the G17 just too darn big. I have a G19 Gen 4 FDE and a G26 Gen 3 USA made gun. You cannot go wrong with either one of these; I think your on the right track get the G26 Gen 4 FDE you will love it! Also if you ever pocket carry look at the Kahr CM9 it is great little gun for pocket carry.

I've got and carried a 17, 19, 22, 23 and a 27 so...knowing the platform sizes and their individual qualities as I do...I'd get a 19 over a 26. It's a bit more versatile IMO. Given your current situation though...the 26 is a fine weapon and would be a great choice.

To me...the 19/23 and 26/27 have proven about the same to carry for my use so naturally I almost always pick the higher capacity weapon when given the option.

You can carry a Glock 19 very easily with the right holster.

I'd argue you can do the same with a 17 using that caveat.

With my normal clothes I have issues comfortably concealing a 19. I can be comfortable, or I can be concealed, not both. Winter clothes it works fine because I can carry OWB which is much more comfortable.

That said... I'm looking at a 26 next, so that's my vote for you as well!

The 19 isn't that much smaller than your 17, but it makes a world of difference carrying iwb, yet it's still a decent size gun with great capacity.

I have tried the 26 two different times and ending up selling them. The 19 is the smallest I can go and still manipulate like a big gun. Not so with the 26.

The last gun that I bought was a G30 SF. In my opinion, it is by far the most accurate glock!! It is not very bulky like G21 and fits really well in my smaller size hand. You will have 10 round standard mag of .45 acp. If I were to own only one handgun, this would be it!

You are doing yourself a disservice by not embracing the more "classic" versions of the Glock family. Get yourself a "police trade" G17 or G22 second gen. Only then can you fully appreciate the evolution of the greatest combat handgun in the world! IMO
