I'd let them look around just to alleviate concern. I've got nothing to hide, plus, I'd probably know the cop(s) on duty personally.

I don't know the story behind this picture but it was taken during the sweep. It sure doesn't look like she's voluntarily leaving, no shoes, hands up, appearing shaken, gun pointed at her, etc.

eta: found the pic caption
"A barefooted woman runs for cover as police surround a home while searching for a suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings in Watertown, Mass., Friday, April 19, 2013."
Ok I am getting distracted.. she is hot! I like the hair... I apologize.

They used pipe bombs (or some other small explosives) and firearms to try and get away from police.

Does this sound like someone that has planned a last hurrah?

Let's use a little brain power.

If they were trying to escape and fade away un-noticed, why bring their explosives and bombs with them?

Then they carjack somebody, tell him they're the bombers and let him go?

Is that an attempt to fade away un-noticed? Or a way to get police attention and, yeah, complete their last hurrah?

A couple years ago a couple bank robbers ditched their car 2 houses down from mine and disappeared. Eventually swat officers were going house to house looking for the one that was still missing. They asked if I was alone i said yes, then they wanted to look in the back yard and I let them. Didn't seem like a big deal and they ended up finding the bastard next door.

I know every time I have cops encircling my front door, guns drawn on my door while "waving" me out that I interpret it as being voluntary.

She saw it as so voluntary that she didn't even need to put some shoes on. Sorry but pic looks like she was ordered out of the house.

Remember that a photo "stops time". The lady could be using her arms for balance (on stairs, barefoot...), fixing her hair, or any number of things, but no doubt some will see it as "held at gun point, arms up in the air".
Yeah.

I am SURE that she was running out of the house without shows fixing her hair and a policeman happened to be standing there with a gun pointed at her.

This happens all the time that women run out of the house to fix their hair barefoot.

I don't know where you pulled this bs from but that's EXACTLY what the court system relies on.

Who ever won a case as plaintiff while losing more than half of jurors? Standards of proof are at least 51% so court cases make their way to trial precisely because the probability of success is high. Have you heard of Motions to Dismiss? Plea agreements even? The whole system is based on one party's probability of success and that burden falls on plaintiff always.

look at the helmet of the lead guy..camera on it.
The video makes no legal difference. If the government is allowed to see it, recording it has no legal significance. In addition, you people are the ones the recording is for, because when there isn't one you always accuse the police of hiding evidence. Recording EVERYTHING is the latest trend. I just got back from a Taser seminar about their new law enforcement cameras (go on your sunglasses) and their online video evidence storage. Both the police and the citizens seem to favor having cameras to keep the other side honest.

By "you people" I mean a broad group of liberals, conspriacy nuts and cop-haters.

Yeah, I'm letting them in to look around. Like other posters have said, I have nothing to hide and 'what if' the jackwagon they're looking for found it's way into my basement?

I've said it before, Many interesting people on this (and other) gun discussion boards.

Did you watch the video?

Do you put this in the category of - "I'm letting them in to look around"

It does not look like that to me - more like you are being treated like a criminal - and we are doing what ever we want because we have more fire power than you do.

Maybe there is "more to" this specific house - it did seem like there were an lot of people in there - it just seemed odd.

If this was done to hundreds of homeowners there will be a back lash - if it was a few then it will just blow over - no big deal.

Well since he ended up being in the perimeter and it seems that they were not forcing their way into homes, your math and general take on this matter is flawed.
